From the International airport Sarajevo, which is 12 Km away from the hostel, you may take a taxi. Ride for an approx. 25 minutes will cost you around 15 € (baggage included).

From the main bus/train station you may take tram line no. 1. You can buy ticket in the kiosk or from the driver (0.9 €). Leave the tram at the fifth station called 'Drvenija', take a walk across the street to the left side, forward along the street 'Gimnazijska ulica' up to the street 'Zelenih beretki'. Move further toward Cathedral. After you hit the pedestrian street 'Ferhadija', move toward old city called 'Bašcaršija' and search in the right street Jelica number 2. green door, across from the Swedish and Norwegian Embassy. You can also take a taxi from station which will cost you approx. 8 € (baggage included).

From the bus station 'Lukavica - Istocno Sarajevo' you may take a taxi which will cost you approx. 12 €. Also you can take a trolley bus line no. 103, which is situated in Dobrinja suburb, some 300m away from the bus station. Leave the trolley bus at the last station (approx. 30-40min ride), go across the bridge called 'Latinska cuprija' then move towards Hotel Europe. After hotel turn right and hit the main pedestrian street 'Ferhadija'. Hostel Balkan is a little bit to the right, on street Jelica number 2.(green door),across the Swedish and Norwegian Embassy.
