About the property
Hostel da Barra is brand new and located at a wonderful part of Rio! Come make new friends and experience this wonderful city while enjoying amenities not common to most hostels. When you arrive let our amazing staff help you plan your unforgettable experience in Rio. We partner with several local businesses to give you the best prices on all the fun the city has to offer, as: Surf lessons, stand up paddle, kite surfing, breathtaking hikes, fly-board, hang gliding, etc.

Accommodation
We have 8 rooms. 2 private suites with queen size beds. 2 shared rooms with 8 beds and private bathrooms. 2 female only rooms with 6 beds and private bathrooms. 1 shared room with 12 beds and private bathroom. 1 shared room with 6 beds and shared bathroom. Facilities: all the beds have individual plugs and lights. Linen, pillow, towels are free. Lockers are offered for each guest.

Common areas, services and activities
At Hostel da Barra we provide free Wi-Fi throughout the entire property as well as free breakfast and cable TV with Netflix in the common areas. You can also play games, have a drink at our bar, or enjoy a barbecue in the sunshine of our outdoor area. We can provide on-site laundry service, if you are short on clean clothes or computer access with a scanner/printer, if you need to plan the rest of your trip.

Surroundings
Hostel da Barra’s location is perfect for both daily living and your gateway to the entire city. Within a five minute walk in our vibrant neighborhood you will find several great restaurants, friendly local bars, a large grocery store, a pharmacy and the police station. We love our privileged and secure neighborhood within Barra, known locally as ‘Barrinha’, and we know you will too! A short 15 minute walk will take you to the largest beach in Rio or the brand new Metro-Rail line.
