Approximately 70 km north of Tanzania’s commercial capital Dar-es-Salaam.
From the Dar International airport it is an hour and a half’s drive on perfectly smooth tarmac road, provided you miss the morning and evening rush hour traffic in Dar. Should you have the misfortune of getting stuck in traffic it can take considerably longer.
Taxis at the airport presently charge one –way per vehicle Tzs 120,000/ $ 100.
You can book an airport transfer through us with our resident driver for $ 80.
The more adventurous alternative is to take a local dala dala minibus from Mwenge bus stand in Dar( Tzs 4500) and from the Bagamoyo bus stand a piki-piki (motor bike) or bajaj (tricycle) for Tsz 1500 to the BCC.
The approach from the north (northern circuit) of Tanzania on the Tanga / Arusha highway, one turns off the main road at the Msata Junction and follows a well graded gravel road directly to Bagamoyo.
The Bagamoyo Country Club is located on an isolated stretch of beach between Bagamoyo and Kaole Fishing Village.
From the Bagamoyo College of Arts BCC is about 800m south on the Kaole Road, which runs on a ridge parallel to the coast.
