The accommodation is Failte Ireland approved and the quiet surroundings makes it the perfect place to get away from it all. There is a large reception area which looks out on to Lough Allen affording panaromic views of the Lough and Slieve an Eireann Mountain. The Lough Allen Hostel is an ideal place to relax in after a day out and about in Leitrim.

At Lough Allen the accommodation consists of ensuite bedrooms with 3 bunk beds to a room. The cost for Bed and Breakfast is 15 Euro. A two course evening meal can be had on request at a cost of 12 Euro.
Lough Allen Hostel is situated on the shores of Lough Allen, adjacent to Lough Allen Spa Hotel. The hostel is 500 meters from Drumshanbo.

Run by a community organization this hostel is a facility providing access to outdoor activities such as hill walking, fishing, canoeing and sailing. It offers budget accommodation to schools, community groups and individual tourists, with 48 beds in total.
All activities at Lough Allen Hostel are non-motorized, and as education is the main mission here, there is tuition in just about everything. From sailing lessons or angling tuition, to painting lessons in the naturally-lit exhibition space which overlooks the Lough, as well as guided walks and cycle rides. Pike angling and coarse fishing is also available
