HOW TO REACH USBY TRAIN

From the square at Santa Maria Novella train station take the new streetcar leaving every 3-5 minutes toward Villa Costanza. In about10 minutes you arrive at the Resistenza stop in the futuristic New Center of the architect Richard Rogers. The Hotel Touring Florence is 500 meters from this stop. If you don’t want to walk, you can take a number 26 bus starting near (Via Donizetti) and with a stop in front of the hotel.

A ticket valid for both the streetcar and bus cost € 1,10 and can be obtained from ticket machines at the streetcar platform, nearby newsstand, or through a text message using your cellphone (with a little extracharge).

BY CAR
• From Milan – Rome – Naples : Exit HIGHWAY A1 at “Firenze Scandicci”. Enter the road to FIRENZE-PISA-LIVORNO (SGC). Exit at “Scandicci Zona Industriale”. At the first rotary take the second exit and go straight beyond a small bridge to a traffic light. Turn right, you are in Via Baccio da Montelupo. Hotel is 50 meters. The total distance from Highway is 2 kilometer which takes about 5 minutes. Check your navigation system is upgraded, this is a new location.

There is bus service from the airport to the Santa Maria Novella train station leaving every half hour with a one way fare of 6 €.
From the station you take the new streetcar line towards Villa Costanza and get off at Resistenza stop from which you can walk to the hotel (about 500 meters) or take bus number 26.
