Firefly Backpackers is a aimed at the young crowd who care less about comfort and more about the chance to surround themselves with like-minded people and be right where everything happens. The hostel is run by a couple of friends in their late twenties, which gives it a nice, youthful atmosphere.
The first thing you may notice about Fireflies Hostel is the great style of its design. All the walls are individually painted with mandalas and Nepalese symbols, and random objects are incorporated into the decoration as well. It has two floors and each floor hosts four or five rooms of four to twelve beds each and a toilet/bathroom area. The bunks in the smaller rooms are all divided by walls, which is nice as it gives some privacy in the small space. There are small lockers available as well.

Services and activities
On the top floor of the hostel, a huge space serves both as a restaurant and a chill-out zone. The restaurant offers great prices and a wide choice of delicious dishes. There is also a very cool courtyard with the most funky kind of decorations one can find around. The owners organise social events every single night. Some days there is a jamming session, while on others there are guided city tours or cooking classes.

Fireflies is a warm cozy youth hostel where beautiful souls meet. Located on a peaceful street in the south of Thamel, 6 minutes walk from the busy streets. With Day-dreaming views while the majestic mountains peek at you.
