Secret Spot

Description

Secret Spot is a unique getaway, Surf Camp and International Backpackers. It is situated in Shaka's Rock, KwaZulu Natal South Africa, in and around Ballito on The Dolphin Coast. The area is affectionately referred to as Natures Playground, as a result of the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, great waves and home to the bottle nose dolphin, which frolic in our waters among the surfers and visitors. Only 500m from the beach and close to all the awesome beaches, Surf Breaks and 18 km from King Shaka International airport.

Situated in Zululand a mere 30 min. drive from Durban, as the name suggests it is also home to the Zulu people, so this is precisely where you will find Native Africa, unique culture, loads of history, wild life game reserves , tribal living and most of all warm friendly people.

The establishment has Private Double units, twin units, and tented units with a girls and boys dormitory also available. Set in 10,000 sq meters of picturesque African bush situated above Shaka's Rock Beach. Interestingly it also has an informal conference facility with all the conferencing tools too.

Surfers normally refer to a Secret Spot, as their secret surf break, which they keep relatively private, reserved for close friends and acquaintances. International visitors normally miss-out on these spots?

Its a HOME away from HOME where all groups mix and are made to feel comfortable and at home.

Accommodation
We have provided for a range of accommodation tastes that include: Doubles and twins in private cabins, while also some comfortable private tented units that accommodate twins and doubles. Dormitories are also available, as is limited camping.

Private Wooden Cabins

The cabins are well set out, clean and have duvets, pillows, lamps, curtains and have been set up with small touches that make a big difference. They are set under 100 year old Umvoti (indigenous) trees which keep the really cool in the summers.

Private outdoor Tented Units

Private tented units give the real African feel, but too have all the necessary comforts as do the Private Cabins, these are set among palm trees and are also clean neat with duvets pillows cupboards side table and a large veranda to chill out.
