The Mango Tree is 1 block from Ipanema Beach, and 80 metres from Posto 9. If you make your way to the corner of Prudente de Moraes and Vinicius de Moraes you will find the world famous Garota de Ipanema restaurant (Girl From Ipanema) where the song was written. From here walk 30 meters along Prudente de Moraes towards Copocabana and you will find us on your left.

To get here:

From the Rodoviaria Novo Rio take the Metro to its final stop at Siqueira Campos (Copacabana) then get on the Metro bus to Praca General Osorio - this is the first stop in Ipanema. Walk down Rua Prudente de Moraes for a block and a half - the hostel will be on your right. Make sure you buy a integrated metro/bus ticket.

From the International Airport Tom Jobim take the Airport bus to Ipanema Beach and get off at Posto 9. Walk down Rua Vinicius de Morais and turn right at Rua Prudente de Moraes, the hostel is 30m on the left hand side. OR take an airport taxi (around R$70).
