History of the hotel Grand Hotel Cerny Orel, which was previously called the „Black Eagle Tavern“ goes back as far as the 17th century. It is the oldest tavern in this city where many important guests stayed every night in the past.

The city castle and palace is the third largest in the country after those in Prague and Cesky Krumlov.
