Directions ( how to arrive at the hostel) / Upute kako se dolazi do hostela

From:

Bus station Florenc (UAN Florenc) - 6mins.

It’s a no-brainer from Florenc Bus Station. You can choose either Tram or Metro (Subway).

By Tram - The word for “where is” in Czech sounds exactly like the Australian greeting “G’day”. Ask anyone “G’day Tram?” and they will show you which exit to take to reach the tram stations above ground. Take Tram 3, with destination Sidliste Modrany or Nadrazi Branik displayed on the front. Get out at the sixth stop, “Lazarska”. Walk 20 meters ahead to the end of Lazarska and cross Spalena Street. Turn left and walk 50 meters to Cosmopole. Welcome.

By Metro (Subway) - Easy again. Enter the stairway for the Metro Station “Florenc”. Once you are down the escalator to the platform, get on the Metro train with destination Zlicin. Get off at the third stop, “Narodni Trida”. You can take the two elevators at the front of the Metro train to Lazarska (where you will see the tram stop mentioned above), and go to the end of Lazarska where you will cross Spalena Street. Cosmopole is 50 meters to the left. Alternatively, leave the Metro on escalators at the rear of the train and exit to Spalena Street. It is a 5 minute walk to the left to Cosmopole at Spalena 3. Welcome.

Bus station Na Knizeci - 7mins.

Another no-brainer. Enter the stairway for the Metro Station “Andel”. Once you are down the escalator to the platform, get on the Metro train with destination “Cerny Most”. Get off at the second stop, “Narodni Trida”. You can take the two elevators at the rear of the Metro train to Lazarska (where you will see the tram stop mentioned above), and go to the end of Lazarska where you will cross Spalena Street. Cosmopole is 50 meters to the left. Alternatively leave the Metro on escalators at the head of the train and exit to Spalena Street. It is a 5 minute walk to the left to Cosmopole at Spalena 3. Welcome.

Main Train Station (Hlavni nadrazi) - 5mins.

Again, easy, with no connections traveling from Hlavni Nadrazi to Cosmopole. Leave the station building and enter the green park outside. Turn to the right and follow he paved path to the end of the park and you will see the tram stations, one on each side of the street. Cross the street to catch tram 9, with destination Sidliste Repy displayed on the front. Get out at the fourth stop, “Lazarska”. Walk 20 meters ahead to the end of Lazarska and cross Spalena Street. Turn left and walk 50 meters to Cosmopole. Welcome.

Prague Airport (Letiste Vaclava Havla) - 30mins.

Take a taxi (not recommended) to Spalena 3. This will take you 30minutes and this should cost you about 600czk (22 euro). But in The Czech Republic Taxi drivers are unreliable and sometimes untrustworthy, so this route can easily cost you 1000czk.

In the alternative, board a bus 100 or 119 to Metro Station Nadrazi Veleslavin. This is Green Line A. Change at Mustek to Yellow Line B and board the train going in the direction of Zlicin. Get out after one stop, at Nardoni Trida and take the escalator at the rear of your train to Spalena Street exit. Cosmopole is 5 minutes to the left at Spalena 3. You can also take two elevators at the head of your train and emerge at Lazarska tram station … if you do that, go to the end of Lazarska (20 meters) and turn left. Walk 50 meters to our door. Welcome.
