Transportation either by car or the local bus service is very easy. The island of Corfu is easily accessible by air, by sea and by bus from the Athens Bus Station. Open-type and closed-type ferries depart daily mainly from the port of Igoumenitsa, while there are various Sea Lines (MINOAN, ANEK, BLUE STAR, etc.) with routes to Italy that make an intermediate stop in Corfu. Air flights to and from the Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos and Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport by Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines.There are also daily bus schedules from the Athens Bus Station on Kifissos to Corfu via Igoumenitsa.
