When we arrived at the right place (Via Rattazzi 2F), there wasn't any label which said "Carpe Diem B&B". We asked somebody and they said that it wasn't there anymore. Then we called the number which was on the reservation. The man said, that someone would come in 5 minutes. Indeed someone else came and told us that we would get another room. It was quite near to Via Rattazzi 2F, but I think it was even better. (air condition, private bathroom and toilett, nice breakfast). The location is really good and in the end we had a great room, but it was a bit strange, that there wasn't any "Carpe Diem B&B".

The place was hard to find due to reconstruction going on , the Wi-Fi never worked properly , the owner is very helpful and the place is safe ,as a first time in Rome was ok , I will stay somewhere else next time.

Хостел в общем-то не плохой, довольно удобно расположен, милые хозяева, кофе и круассан на завтрак в соседнем баре. Минусы - очень тесные комнаты, две кровати из четырех были обычными раскладушками, еле течет вода в душе.

Dobrze usytuowany - blisko metra minus za hałas w nocy-można go zmniejszyć zamykając okiennice i okno.Schludnie, czysto, minus za czasami niewspółpracujący ekspres do kawy i drzwi, wolną windę i słabe zakwaterowanie - tzn.ciężko było kogoś znaleźć z obsługi.Sumując: Polecam!;-)

Massimo is a very nice host, the place is near to the train station and very close to the center of city, we've done all the visits by feet. The room was clean and comfortable. It's was just a little noisy from the street and a bit hot (because there's no clim) but we enjoyed our stay in Carpe Diem.

Limpeza razoável, pessoal simpático. Pequeno-almoço bom mas muito reduzido e com pouca escolha (café,leite, capuchino ou sumo + croissant, de pé) Zona desagradável para sair à noite.

El chico bastante amable y simpático, ubicado a 2 min de Sta María Magiore y el metro de Vittorio Emmanule con lo que estás al lado de todo.
El b&b está totalmente acorde con el precio, yo he estado 3 días y he estado genial, he de decir que sólo lo he utilizado para dormir y ducharme ... no más.
Lo mejor: ubicación.
Lo peor: limpieza.

Ein sehr schönes, gemütliches Hostel, das bestens für einen Aufenthalt von 1 Woche geeignet war! Die Zimmer waren sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Betten wurden jeden Tag gemacht und das Bad wurde ebenfalls täglich gereinigt.
Es war alles vorhanden, was man braucht. (frische Handtücher, Kühlschrank)
Es ist allerdings relativ laut, wenn man ein Zimmer zur Straße hat. Auch das Englisch des Hostelbetreibers könnte besser sein -> das würde die Verständigung erleichtern.
Das Frühstück war in einer Bar, das heißt, keine Sitzmöglichkeit! und auch der Umfang dessen (1 Croissant und 1 Getränk) sind nicht unbedingt das, was man erwartet.

Acabamos de llegar de Roma y debo decir que la ubicación del Carpe Diem es genial, aunque está cerca de Termini nos pareció una zona segura y eso que ibamos con niños. El desayuno nos pareció escaso, no solo por la cantidad sino más bien por el bar donde había que desayunar que era muy pequeñito y a veces tenías que desayunar de pie. Otra cosa si quereis que os recojan del aeropuerto hacedlo con Rome Pick up creo que se escribe así, son fiables y cobran solo 40 euros, mientras que los del Carpe Diem ofrecieron el mismo servicio por 60 €, por lo demás todo estaba bien.

Everything was very good, people are kind and friendly, only one thing that i'm not sure that we pay additionally some taxes, not much only 2 euros on person for one night, we did not knew this information, may be for others it can be useful

The room was really clean and spacious, we booked for three but part way through the holiday a friend joined us and the staff were really accomodating and gave us an additional bed. The breakfast is at a cafe round the corner, and although it was just a pastry and a coffee it was still very nice. This B&B is really conveniently placed to the main Termini station, and is 20 mins walk from the centre of Rome.

El staff del hostel fue muy amable y nos dio amplias indicaciones sobre lugares a conocer de la ciudad. La habitación era muy cómoda y los baños muy limpios. La ducha con mucha presión de agua y buena temperatura.
Como única observación, el desayuno que está incluido con la habitación es en un bar donde no hay lugar para consumirlo y además es muy escaso.

Great Place to stay. We ve been for the first time in Rome, didn t know where to stay, but this place was great! Hard to first, b/c only a bell sign. Room was clean, breakfast was around the corner = small but ok to start the day! Staff was friendly. On Arrival you ve call them to come to the hostel. Would go there again!

Helpful and nice staff, excellent position (everything within a walking distance in the down-town). Good value for the reasonable price. The gulls in the backyard are making a skaring noise in the morning but appart from this everything was OK. Timea (Hungary)

Very good place to spend a few days in Rome( if U don't want pay a lot of money for accomodation),very good located-near the underground, nice owner and the atmosphere, I can recommend it!

gave us a room in a kind of an attic which was shaking as in an earthquake every time a tram or heavy vehicle passed.thank god there wasnt an actual earthquake,I guess we d be dead now.the ceiling above the bathtab was so low you couldnt take a shower standing up.inexisting staff with almost no english ability.never left us the so called ticket for a ridiculous breakfast at a bar outside the hostel.fun factor 100% as it surely enhances your sense of humor to tolerate all this.I loved the old lady as she spoke only italian, i answered in spanish and we still communicated

Nice locality and clean room. Staff was very helpful but hard to find them. Though room is bigger private bathroom was too small.

volvi de Roma el dia 3 de Marzo. Tengo que decir que el B&B CARPE DIEM es PERFECTO para pasar unas vacaciones cortas y en Roma.
Las habitaciones estan muy bien ekipadas y muy limpias,nevera, Tv, camas muy blanditas.
Todo muy muy limpio y tmb tngo que añadir que desde TERMINI se puede llgar andando a cualkier sitio.
Aunk la zona parece peligrosa, a nosotrs no nos pasó nada y eso k volviamos x la noche.
La única pega, el desayuno, NO HAY DESAYUNO! si tienes suerte y madrugas tienes croissant en el bar d enfrente cn la tarjeta k te da Massimo( el dueño d CARPE DIEM) y sino, bizcocho.
TODO PERFEKTO :) y muy buen precio

Was a nice stay, clean room, close to everything, good traffic conection, but without staff, just by the arriving time. Breakfast is just enough for a women, but special itailian in front of the hostel in a bar.

stanze non a norma di sicurezza e disordinate mobili vecchi e molta polvere insomma vale molto meno di quanto si vende. solo il punto di ubicazione vicino alla metropolitana.
il personale giustifica sempre ogni loro disservizio

Thats an interesting place to stay em Rome. Very well located and cheap: two important things. The staff is very simpatic, friendly and careful. It would deserve to have a small kitchen with a proper breakfast, instead of going to the "japanese place" in the corner (eca!). And also to have a reception with tel available, to which you could call, or mayble to leave message.

Am fost la Roma in week-endul 9-11 Octombrie 2009, am facut rezervare prin Internet la Carpe Diem B&B. Pretul a fost rezonabil pentru o camera dubla, avand in vedere preturile de sezon si zona relativ centrala, la distanta acceptabila de marile repere turistice. Dar pentru ca, in ambele nopti a plouat si s-a facut frig, nu am avut o patura de rezerva si nici de la cine sa cerem. La alimentarea cu apa calda au fost cateva probleme, in ultima dimineata nu a curs deloc. In rest,locatia in sine este buna, atmosfera este placuta, personalul foarte amabil, ceilalti locatari foarte civilizati si discreti, a fost liniste deplina si ne-am odihnit foarte bine.Daca s-ar face cateva renovari si reparatii si daca s-ar asigura un loc unde sa se serveasca un mic dejun frugal, ar deveni un loc de cazare chiar super (are toate conditiile necesare!)

Muy muy recomendable, cerca del metro y de la estación de tren para ir al aeropuerto. Hay una estación de autobuses en Termini que te conecta con todo, aunque se puede ir andando a todos los sitios por la noche vienen bien. A cinco minutos del Coliseo. El desayuno genial. Muy atentos. Os recomiendo que el domingo día que es gratuito opteis por ver el vaticano que son unos 12 euros un día normal(ojo cierra a las 4:30 y se tarda mucho en ver) o el coliseo+foro+palatino (se tarda bastante en verlo) que es una entrada única de unos 12 euros un día normal y creo q os sirve la entrada para dos días. Las demás cosas imprescindibles de ver son en general gratuitas o bastante baratas, no os recomiendo la tarjeta roma pass, los viajeros del bus van a su royo ya lo veréis asiq no merece la pena la tarjeta de transporte. Ale a verlo toito q perece la pena!

La relación calidad precio está muy bien. Muy cerca de Termini, las habitaciones y el baño muy limpios. El propietario muy amable. Y sobre todo lo que a mí más me gustó fue el desayuno! Servido en una pequeña cocina por el propietario, muy acogedor todo!

When we arrived the hostel was full so we had to go to another building just around the corner. The rooms were pretty good, big, clean with a great bed, however the shared bathroom was not very clean, specially the shower... The location is great and the stuff super friendly. Maximo helped us a lot!

Great place near Termini train station 5 minutes by foot, 10 minutes by foot to Colloseum etc. Near busiest street, however closed window isolates the noise. Breakfast served in next Picollo Bar in typical Italian style - crosaint & cappuccino.
