Dar Gabriel is a beautifully restored boutique riad hotel in Chefchaouen, northern Morocco, with seven bedrooms all ensuite.

Downstairs is a sitting room heated by a wood burning stove, a restaurant sized kitchen, and intimate dining room unified by the exact and simple geometry of the square riad space.

Four bedrooms on the middle floor are linked by a cedar landing opening down to the riad floor and fountain, and up to three tiers of roof terraces, three more bedrooms, another kitchen and a chill out space.

The views from the top of the riad are the jumble of medina roofs with the pine and cedar clad Rif mountains rising behind the town, their ridges and valleys folding into the distant south and west.

You will be warmly welcomed to hotel Dar Gabriel by your host Ben Salam. The riad restaurant promises a memorable Moroccan meal.
