When we get to the hostel, I gave our printed reservation to the receptionist. He told us that they didn't get this reservation and they don't have free room for us to stay. It was 11 pm so in the foreign country during the night we had no place to sleep even if we made a down paiment... We had to find other place to sleep what was very hard and stressful at night but we had no choice. This is why I'm rating NOVA ESTRELA DA NOITE in PORTO as LOW as it's possible!!!

The room is clean and tidy, but in the badroom in the hallway you can find some strange spots.. :s Staff is friendly; location not so close to bridge or party area, but very good restaurant nearby!

Bardzo bardzo zle ;-( Hotel przed ktorym stoja prostytutki, cala ulica wypelniona dziwkami. W hotelu prostytutki, bzykajace sie w pokojach w ktorych pozniej wypoczywaja goscie hotelowi, obsluga przecietna majaca problemy z podstawowym angielskim. Oh zgrozo

Gente muy amable y aplicada. Servicio esgupendp. Volveré algun día...

Muy buena calidad precio, habitación algo pequeña (ultima planta,con ventana chica y alta, pasamos un poco de calor), baño mínimo pero en el complejo la habitación es agradable y limpia, no ascensor en el hostal y no zonas comunes, pero muy buena ubicación para visitar la ciudad, aunque por la noche en la misma calle hay prostitutas (no molestan ni son escandalosas)

Pension muy barata y económica inlcuso en temporada alta. No tienen servicio de desayuno ni comida. Reservamos una habitación con vistas a la ciudad y nos dieron una con una ventana a 1,80 de altura con vistas a patios interiores. Mucho calor ya que no hay aire ni ventiladores. La habitación es sencilla pero bien. Lo malo es que estando en un tercero el lavabo olia siempre a cloaca y no se molestaron en cambiar ni toallas ni darnos papel. Esta situada en un buen barrio, traquilo y sin gentuza. Con metro tiendas y bus cerca. Para aparcar el barrio no es de pago ni ves a yonkis o vagabundos esperando en una plaza libre de parquing para ganarse una propina por enseñarte el sitio (algo bastante desagradable. Un sitio regular pero aceptable por calidad /precio má que suficiente.

Muy buen lugar para estar, cómodo y limpio. Se siente mucho el ruido de la calle, no recomendable para los que tengan el sueño liviano.

Great value for the price!

The rooms are clean and recently refurbished. Close to 24 Augusto Metro station. Only negative point is the neigours dogs that you want to shoot after a couple of hours...

Luxe uitstraling maar er komt al snel een riol lucht uit de badkamer en de kamermeid doet niet altijd haar werk, als ze dit wel doet laat ze graag haar zwarte lange haren achter. Het hotel wordt tevens gebruikt door hoertjes. Het staat namelijk in de hoere wijk.

It´s a recommended hostel. Reformed with modern and pleasant desing. Also clean, near to the city center...very good for this price.

Great! Really cheap, close to the city center (10 min walk), clean, remodelated. The only bad point was that at night the hostel is used by prostitutes. They are quite friendly and respectful, but if you are planning to travel with kids... maybe you should think twice. If you are not with childrens, theres is NO problem, no noise, and the recepcion is 24/7!

Very nice and not too expensive place to stay in Porto; nice room and staff; close to the city center - about 15 minutes by walk; free wi-fi internet;

Mal placée et très bruyante, je ne recommande pas cet endroit pour visiter Porto.

Well, everything would´ve been perfect if they would´ve actually received my reservation...I get there and turns out they know nothing of it, and were planning on charging me one third more of the price I had orginally seen on the website...and of course, I had already paid 10% here, plus 2 euros of service charge of which they knew nothing...but in the end, who´s responsible for this misunderstanding?

on était en février et il n'y avait pas de chauffage !on a vraiment eu froid , on a aperçu un chauffage roulant dans une autre chambre mais pas la notre !!

It's a really nice hostel not far away from the city center. Room that we had was nice ,clean and warm with toilet and shower.

Molto pulito e accogliente. Non e centralissimo, ma con una passeggiata di un paio di chilometri si raggiunge ribeira e vila nova de gaia.

Great position and clean place. The room were I stay it was pretty nice and with modern simple mobilia but the shower box it was really too small!!My boyfriend beat continiusly on the wall of the box while he wash himself!=-)Unfortunately there was no breakfast but immediatly under the hostel there was a bar.

Attention, hotel très propre et pas cher mais loin du centre de Porto (Ribeira) et surtout tenancier alcoolique qui s'emmèle les pinceaux entre les réservations et qui soupire dès qu'il doit faire le moindre effort. Fait aussi hotel de passe au 1er étage ! Wifi ne marche pas.

Nice place.Very simple,clean,new(or re-styled),cheap,close to Metro and to town centre.
