Tassie Backpackers provides a range of cheap accommodation options in the middle of Hobart. It is part of The Brunswick Hotel, the oldest continuously licensed hotel in Hobart, and the second oldest in Australia. Operating since 1827, the Brunswick still features its original convict built sandstone walls and fireplaces. Our inner city site has been extended over the decades, and we have renovated and spacious communal areas for you to chill out and relax.

Guests can choose from 77 rooms, all of which exude an atmosphere of total peace and harmony. Linen is always included.
