Tarvisio, the last city of the Val Canale before the Austria-Slovenia border, is found on the plains of the valley bed that is home to tennis courts, golf courses and cross-country ski circuits. Surrounded by mountains of the Julian Alps range, the slopes of 95% of which are covered by still whole fir forest, Tarvisio offers in addition to downhill skiing, also marvellous nature trails. A few minutes away are the areas renowned for their gastronomy, art and culture, and also thermal districts and casinos.
