Almost 100 years old and totally restored in 2002, Hostel Aviz offers you all the conditions you need to enjoy Coimbra, not only because of its friendly environment, but also by its excellent location in Coimbra’s downtown, where you can visit all major interest sites, like Santa Cruz Church (where the first King of Portugal is buried). From Hostel Aviz you can promenade downtown’s historical streets and enjoy Coimbra’s traditional shops easily.
Hostel Aviz has got 17 rooms (11 of which with individual bathrooms), fully equipped with cable TV, free wireless internet and car-parking.

The Hostel is located right at the center of the historic center of the city and within walking distance of the main touristic interest points. The traditional downtown commercial area is at the back of the quarter where the Hostel is placed. Most popular restaurants in the city are very close to the entrance and you can choose from a wide list of different cuisines and services.

The central railway station is located at less than a 100 meters from the hostel and from there you can travel to any destination including the sea side city of Figueira da Foz which is about a 50 minutes distance by suburban train from the central station Coimbra-A.
