It is a 5 minute walk to a bus station that will take you to Dubrovnik old town within 10 minutes. Of course you have to wait for the bus :) That's why I rate 80/100 for the Position.
There is a shared bathroom for 3 rooms, so it can happen that you have to wait for somebody to finish the shower etc but not a big problem overall.
Other than these two minor points I highly recommend the accommodation, especially because of the helpful family and the fully functional kitchen.

Propriétaires très accueillants, chambres et parties communes propres et pratiques. Attention l'appartement n'est pas du tout dans le centre mais plutot vers le nouveau port ( ce qui est un avantage pour ceux arrivant de la gare routière ou voulant embarquer sur un ferry / catamaran tôt).

El propietario, señor Bojan, es escantador y te hace sentir en tu casa, al igual que su hijo, que nos acompañó un día lluvioso a la estación. Maravillosa familia,incluido el perro
hay una habitación con una terraza con vistas preciosas al puerto. Maravilloso. Y la ubicación, aunque alejada del centro histórico (20 minutos caminando) es perfecta para coger los autobuses a otras ciudades y los barcos a las islas como Korcula o Mjet. Una casa superrecomendable. Quedamos encantadas. Si volvemos repetiremos en este alojamiento.

The place is really nice, clean, and relatively close to the Old Town (25 - 30 minute walk or 5 minutes or so by bus, whose station is about 60 feet away). The owners are really friendly and will try to help, but don't know any English so you'll have to put a little effort into it. I had a really pleasant stay there and would definitely recommend it.

Si tratta di una camera nella casa dei proprietari, insieme a loro. La posizione è comoda per prendere traghetti e pullman.E per chi vuole stare fuori dal turismo e vuole sentirsi a contatto con la gente.In una zona di abitazioni tradizionali. La qualità più grande è la gentilezza e ospitalità dei padroni di casa.

I can't comment on the fun factor or atmosphere as I only stayed one night.
The view overlooking the harbour is amazing.
The owner is very friendly, helpful and happy to answer our questions and give advise on the area.
we stayed in a twin room which was spacious and had ample storage.
The place is very clean.
We were both very happy with our accomondation and the price was very reasonable.

Sympathique appartement, le propriétaire est très convivial, même s'il ne parle que le croate! Vue sur la mer, à l'écart de la masse des touristes.
