Mathias Hostel - Budapest

Pessimo. Personale gentile almeno. Meglio spendere dieci euro in piú e dormire meglio da qualche altra parte, un materasso cosí scomodo non l'avevo mai sperimentato

The hostel wasn't too clean, but it was very cheap so we didn't expect much. Moreover, it was very nice that is was so close to the bus station. The Public Transport in Budapest is very good.

I booked 2 nights and they somehow made a mistake and booked the room for us just one night and so we had to find something else for our second night eventhough I had a reservation confirmation where it said two nights are booked! the stuff was not friendly and didnt even try to help us find something else, they just said theres nothing they can do and we had to leave after one night :( i can absolutely NOT recommend this hostel!!!

A becsekkolásig sem jutottunk el, hála a "mérhetetlenül kedves és segítőkész" recepciós lányoknak... Minősíthetetlennek nevezném a viselkedésük! A szállást nem láttuk, úgyhogy arról véleményem nincs.

Самый ужасный хостел, в котором пришлось переночевать. Одной ночи хватило, чтоб переехать в другую гостиницу. НЕ РЕКОМЕНДУЮ НИКОМУ!!!!

This hostel was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and pretty clean. The hostel is only 2 minutes walk to a bus stop and 20 minutes walk from the city.

Recomendo pelo preço e pela localiação, próximo a 2 importantes pontos turisticos,o castelo de Buda e da Citadela

Das Hostel war für uns relativ schwer zu finden. Dafür war das Personal sehr freundlich und die Rezeption ist durchgehend besetzt. Morgens kann man frischen Kaffe für ca. 1€kaufen:-). Wir waren etwas unzufrieden mit dem stark verschlissenen Standard des (Keller)Zimmers (welches allerdings eine Terassentür zu einer Art Terrasse hatte ). Die Tapete im Bad kam in der Mitte runter und die Einrichtung war an einigen Stellen kaputt... dafür war es relativ sauber und wir hatten keine Milbenbisse ;-) es gibt weder im Hostel noch in relativer Nähe Frühstück. Wir können es aber für den günstigen Preis empfehlen!

Excelent place to spend a few days in Budapest. Suitable both for small and large groups. GREAT LOBBY. Good price! I will come back for sure!

me agradó mi estancia en Budapest tanto por la maravillosa ciudad como por el hostal. el personal muy atento,pero agradecería que alguien hablara en español pues mi inglés es muy básico.

Mein erster Hostel-Besuch, habe daher keinen Vergleich.Personal sehr freundlich. Gemeinschaftsküche bzw. Zimmer (Bad) könnten sauberer/gepflegter sein. Preis/Leistung aber oK!

Says it has breakfast, but it doesn't. Wrong directions on website to the hostel.

Nice hostel in general.

- Probably as we were a big group (more than 100 people) they insist on payment when we arrived (4am). Finally we solved it next day.

- On the departure we were delayed by receptionist about 30 minutes because of her mess in room key. I have to say - very unpleasant for us because we needed to be on time at another spot.

Lenzuola composte per il 40% da polvere e per il 60% da peli pubici. Vi basta?

A lot of space, friendly people, own bathroom, overall very good

Hostel is a great option for not demanding youbg people, who want to stay near the centre of the city at reasonable prices. The staff was great and cleanliness was very good, too.

Stuffy, shabby and scraffy!

The hostel is located at the "Buda-side" in Budapest. Only one bus drives up to this hill.It's not central. In the night there is no possibility to go by public transport to the bus station beside the hostel.

Rooms are ok but nothing to leave property of a higher value in it. You have to leave the keys at the desk and in the night is self-service!!!!!

Bathroom and rooms are not dirty but also not clean.

Considering the low price of the rooms, I would say everything was ok!

The hostel is very good. It had everything we needed. There were a few stains on sheets, but everything was okay. The bathroom was clean and in a good condition. The best thing about the hostel is the price. I would definitely come here again.

Not very clean but acceptable, breakfast at minimum, quite far from town. Nice place for a cheap stay, prices very low and good quality for what you pay.

Ottimamente collegato con i mezzi pubblici. Un luogo tranquillo e per il prezzo proposto è un affare, staff molto disponibile. Consigliato.

Standard akademików. Szału nie ma, brak lodówek w pokojach. Generalnie spoko za tą cene. Przepiekne położenie i widok na miasto.

Great place!

In general cleanliness is fine, but the shower curtain was a bit mouldy at the bottom. Staff very helpful, organised a taxi for us when we requested. Only disadvantage is that if you're walking from the train station, you're in for a long walk!

Very nice staff, but a dirty room. All the sheaths had marks on them. Shower was broken.... Location good, quiet, but secluded.

Propreté:rien à dire de particulier.

personnel: à notre disposition et se débrouillant en anglais.Poser toutes vos questions pour le service et autres sinon on ne vous renseignera par forcément.

position: certes,le cadre est jolie, sur la colline donc pour les promeneurs c'est parfait mais sinon l'hotel est excentré compté 35 minutes pour arriver au danube à pied.

divertissement: grand écran géant mais hotel desert durant la période où j'étais (juillet).

atmosphère: plutôt calme.

Attention à la chaleur l'été et gare aux moustiques la nuit si vous ouvrez les fenêtres.
