About us
Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse is Hobart's first boutique hostel. Located in the heart of Hobart's historic Battery Point, Montacute is just 5 minutes walk from all of the restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes and galleries of Hobart's famous Salamanca Place.

Housed in a beautifully renovated 1895 property, Montacute offers private queen rooms, private 2-bed bunkrooms and shared 4-bed bunkrooms.

- Shared 4-bed bunkrooms (4 people)
- Shared female-only 4-bed bunkrooms (4 people)

Additional features:

- All beds are made with excellent quality inner spring mattresses, crisp cotton linen, warm doona/duvets and soft woollen blankets. Sleeping bags are not permitted.
- All bunks have a lamp and powerpoint per person
- All bunks have a lockage luggage drawer per person

Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse is located in historic Battery Point in the heart of Hobart. It is less than 5 minutes walk to all the restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries of Salamanca in the Hobart waterfront precinct. In addition, the following are less than 2 minutes walk away:

- Jackman & McRoss (Hobart's favourite cafe)
- Da Angelo (Hobart's favourite Italian restaurant)
- Prince of Wales pub (great for $10 pub meals)
