Thank you for your enquiry about our accommodation at Tiare Village. We'd love to have you stay with us when you come to Rarotonga.

We are situated 3 kilometers from the main town on the north side of the island, convenient for shopping, banks and nightlife and just a few minutes away from the beach in Nikao.

Rarotonga is 32 kilometers circular via scooter the travel time is about 1 hour @ 40km per hour and or by cycling 2-3 hours, Rarotonga is flat so it is a lovely cycle and often the best way to see the island. We are also about 10mins walk from the beginning of the cross island walkway.

We cater for budget minded tourists in comfortable accommodation situated in lush tropical gardens. The main house has a TV, Video, DVD, Internet Access, extensive library of fiction and non fiction reading material, information board of activities in and around the island, diving brochures, a large deck, which is a great place to meet, mix and mingle with other guests.

As many of our flights arrive early morning or late evening, when you have rested I will take you on an Orientation Tour of the town to give you an idea of proximity from Tiare Village to the Banks, Supermarkets, restaurants, rentals and market place.

As you may know we have a range of accommodation available from self contained Poolside units to self contained A-frame chalets and our main-house which contains dorm facilities.

The Main-house: Has a fully equipped kitchen, contains 3 rooms and 2 shower units.

i.e. Room 1 has 3 beds (female dorm), Room 2 has 3 beds (mixed dorm), Room 3 has 4 beds (male dorm)

3 self contained Chalets: Each chalet has 1 twin/double room (NZ$44.00 pn room rate) and 2 single-rooms (NZ$25.00ea pn)

A swimming pool and shared BBQ is available for our guests and an abundance of fresh fruit (paw paw, bananas, mango and avocados) can be picked fresh from the trees in our garden when in season.

Tiare Village is Officially Recognized by Hostelsclub as Eco-friendly! We recycle, use energy-efficient light bulbs, water-saving plumbing and even recycle jam jars and the like, using them as guest drinking glasses.

Rarotonga has regular bus service that travels around the island. The bus stop is at the end of our drive which is a minute walk from the main house.

Proximity to Dive Centre's and or tour activities is not a problem as operators provide pick up and return service for Tiare Village guests. All local tour activities, diving, guided mountain treks, island nights etc can be booked at the office.

ACCOMMODATION POLICY:

2 nights MINIMUM Stay

Check In/Out time: 10.00am.
Late Check Out Fee:

For those flights, which depart between 10.00am - 10pm guests are welcome to EITHER extend your checkout time of your room till your scheduled

time of departure for the normal rate. OR checkout of your room at 10.00am, store your baggage and utilize the main house facilities, for $10.00 per person.

If you need to cancel your reservation your urgent advice would be appreciated. We do not ask for a deposit but common courtesy with regards to cancellation is appreciated.

Confirmation of bookings:
We need confirmation of your booking as well as details of your incoming flight i.e. country you are coming from, flight number, expected time of arrival to Rarotonga. These details are important to be sure we are at the correct flight to meet you. Also how long you would like to stay with us (remember we have a 2 day minimum stay policy) Please consider the dateline when advising your arrival date. Once I have received this information I will return confirmation and transfer advise.

International Airport pick up: Free service

Domestic pick up and Return Airport Transfers: NZ$6.50pp per way.

International Pick up advice:
As you exit the arrival area turn to your left and look for the Tiare Village sign.

Immigration policy requires you to have accommodation arrangements prior to your arrival.

All you need do is fill in Tiare Village on your immigration form.

Payment is made in CASH on arrival.
