About us
Macanudo Hostel is located in a historic 1890s building, beautifully restored to the highest standards. Close to the Buquebus ferry terminal and only four blocks from Plaza Independencia, Teatro Solís and Montevideo´s famous Ciudad Vieja. With 24 hr reception,bar,wifi and free breakfast.


Accommodation
In Macanudo Hostel we offer both private and shared accommodation for backpackers and ecotourists in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.The private room has a double bed, airconditioning and a balcony.Some dorm rooms have airconditioning and all have bunk beds with personal power point,sheets provided and a locker.

The common areas are bright, spacious and incude a fully equiped comunal kitchen and TV room with Netflix.

Our hostel is located in Centro, one of Montevideo´s liveliest districts, where you can find a wide range of international and local restaurants, great bars with live music and local beers and wines. We are just four blocks from 18 de julio, Montevideo´s most famous shopping street, Plaza Independencia, Teatro Solís and the gates to the Ciudad Vieja. The beautiful Port Market is at walking distance from the hostel as well as the Buquebus ferry terminal.
