Excepto por la ubicacion el hostel es un desastre. Habiamos hecho una reserva alli pensando que (acorde a la descripcion) se podia usar la cocina, que el valor incluia el desayuno y que habia lockers. Nada que ver! El chico que nos atendio intento de explicar que los lockers (TODOS) justo estaban rotos pero que el podia guardar lo que sea en la recepcion que forma parte del living (todo abierto). Lo del desayuno era una equivocacion ya que no le daban los numeros y el tema de la cocina incluia solo el uso del microondas y de la heladera. Mas alla de que la descripcion del hostel en la pagina era muy distinta a lo que nos esperaba en el lugar, el chico no estuvo interesado en buscar ninguna solucion y por colmo nos quiso cobrar un impuesto al turista (cosa que en el hostel donde nos terminamos quedando nunca nos cobraron!!). Cuando decidimos no quedarnos en el hostel Ana realmente tuvimos que luchar para que nos devolvieran el deposito ya hecho. En definitiva fue un desastre el lugar, no fuimos los unicos que no se quedaron y realmente no podemos recomendar este lugar para pasar vacaciones en Split!!!

Don't come here! The place is incredibly unhygienic, uncomfortable and provisorily. It is basically a huge apartement where the owners sleep in the lounge on couches. There are no doors for closing toilets (just paper walls) and the price is not 15€ per night per room but per person (nearly the same you pay in a average, clean holiday flat in the town centre.) You are also close to the main tower bell where as the windows are not close-able (broken) = loud nights.

Das Hostel hat einen ganz klaren Pluspunkt: Die Lage! Ganz nah am Meer gelegen und vor der Tür befindet sich gleich der Green Market, auf dem man jeden Tag frisches Obst und Gemüse einkaufen kann. Auch ein Supermarkt ist gleich in der Nähe. Man schaut direkt auf den Palast, was dem Ambiente noch weiter zuträglich ist.
Die Sauberkeit ist in Ordnung. Wirklich schmutzig ist es nirgends. Nur die sehr kleine Küche ist oft mit ungewaschenem Geschirr vollgestellt. Betrieben wird das Hostel von einer Kroatischen Familie, von denen leider nur einige gutes Englisch sprechen, weshalb die Kommunikation etwas schwer fiel.
Positiv ist auch, dass es ein reines Mädchenzimmer und ein Mädchen-Badezimmer gibt, das über drei Duschen verfügt. So konnte man sich in dem Mädchenschlafzimmer zurückziehen und im Bad gab es nie Gedrängel. Der große offene Balkon ist auch super, auf dem man wunderbar sitzen und entspannen kann.
Negativ war, dass der Computer, über den man das Internet nutzen durfte, während meines Aufenthaltes kaputt ging und sich niemand um eine Reparatur bemüht hat. Wenn der kostenlose Internetzugang so angepriesen wird, sollte der auch gewährleistet sein! Auch, dass die Haustür und alle Zimmer immer völlig offen waren, war etwas negativ. Mir wurde zwar nichts gestohlen, da ich einen Schrank bekommen haben, den man abschließen kann (es gab aber in dem 10-Bett-Zimmer nur 4 Schrankfächer!), aber wirklich sicher ist es so nicht. Vielleicht sollte dieses Konzept noch überarbeitet werden, zumal die Rezeption oft nicht besetzt war.
Alles in allem habe ich aber einen positiven Eindruck vom Hostel, vor allem weil die Gäste sehr jung sind und viel Spaß mitbringen. Man war nie allein (was auch negativ sein könnte, wenn man seine Ruhe haben will) und hatte wqirklich viel Spaß zusammen.

El hostel es muy centrico y no está del todo mal. LA terraza le da un poco de vida, aunque la cocina estaba era pequeña para poder cocinar. Los baños podrían estar más limpios,están haciendo unos nuevos y están bien.

It is placed in the center of Split near Diocleciano Palace. Impossible to park the car without paying a lot of money! The room was disgusting, as well as the bathroom where you can find different kind of animals... Anything seem to be clean I would never recommend this place to anyone. One of the worst experiences in my life.

the ubication is great, in the midle old town but we spected much more for the price we paid. the beds are awful and the organitation is pretty bad. anyway we met nice people there, so at least it was fun.

We are very disapointed about Hostel Ana. They did not have the private room for us because they "forgot" our reservation. Then they said that the price written in the booking confirmation was impossible. However they sent us a mail confirmation before.
The staff was irresponsible and never admit they made a mistake. They were not sorry. We found another place to sleep.

Some cleaning in the kitchen was necessary especially in the fridge.
I liked the free internet service that you had when it was off season, I think you should have that service all the time.

lovely terrace to have drinks on overlooking the old town. helpful staff and the location is fantastic for the beach, markets and supermarkets. very reasonably priced as well!

The place was great,good travellers, nice living room, open on the centre of split,very near to the station, the room and toilet were clean and big.But the owner of the hostel doesn't permit to use the kitchen, and he writes that doesn't work, and you have to pAY 1 KUNA FOR 1 MINUTE ON INTERNET (1 EURO, 7 MINUTES). bUT I SPENT VERY FUNNY TIME.

Location of the hostel is very good and its common arrea (large balcony/terrace) is absolutely cool. Dormatory beds should be ok (they seemed to have windows), but BE CAREFUL with private rooms. The one i stayed in and one more which i saw did not have windows at all (despite the "with view" description of the room). Owner promised to move me to different room for second night, but next day told its not available. there were other people having problems with their private rooms (other people were sleeping ythere ;) I got the feeling that this practice is more deceitful rather than accident. Otherwise some toilets/showers dont have locks and sometimes toilet paper. But for dormitory beds that should be ok place to stay. Owner also gladly accepts people to sleep in common area, so its useful for emergencies.

annonce mensongère: pas de parking ni de sdb privative. seulement 2 douches pour tout le monde (qui ne ferment pas..)état général de propreté plus que douteux. verre d eau payant! notre chambre avait été donnée à d autres, il ne restait plus que l option dortoir ( tellement petit qu il etait impossible de poser son sac!) c est bien simple, on est parti aussi sec chercher ailleurs!!! ne vous faites pas avoir

Overall this apartment was good, although there were a few downfalls. Our room (for two people) didn't have a window which was very strange, and neither did the 2 person room next door. The other rooms for more people all had windows. You had access to free internet, as long as you could get on it. A very central position in the town which was great. The family were quite welcoming. It was relatively clean but it seemed that slightly more effort could have been put in to give clean towels and make sure the bathroom was slightly cleaner. Overall it was a good place to stay.
