Anytime I travel to Havana in the future I will stay here without a doubt. Everyone is warm and welcoming, and you feel like part of the family.

The space itself is well-decorated and spotless. Highly recommended.

Good location : 2 steps from Universty Habana and 10mn walk from Calle23, near Colina hotel for hotspot wifi. Good small restaurant on San Lazaro str at the right on the way out of the Casa . Good 5cuc breakfast menu : delicious goyava fresh fruit juice, bread butter jam, hot meal, tea&coffee .

Narrow room, but well equiped (AC, fan, small tv). The lady owner is moderately well . No wifi in the Casa (wifi is not popular at Cuba)

The flat itself and the rooms are nicely furnished and the staff is really friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. Karlita speaks English; she was very warm and welcoming and gave us helpful infos about Havanna and Cuba. I definitely can recommend this casa!

MALISIMO, no cumple con lo indicado pues a pesar de la comunicacion continua que se tuvo le dio la habitacion a otras personas y nos quizo mandar a otro lugar que realmete era espantoso. Es una pena porque si regreso a Cuba no vuelvo a ir a una casa.

We didn't end up staying at Casa Karlita because the water had shut down on their side of the street. Instead, we stayed in her neighbors house, which was nice.

However, the location is great, and Karlita is amazing. We accidentally left 500 EU in the dresser, and when we called back, they had it saved for us and were amazing. Would recommend to other travelers.

Was a bit unusual how we came and stayed from a usual stay but overall was very good and for the money after seeing other AiRBNB places around Cuba- this was very good. I would safely say this is a good location, hosts and place to stay.

Karlita was great! We asked for a second bed before arriving and she was nice enough to accommodate us. She was great with giving directions and gave advice on where to go out and what to see. The place was cleaned on a daily basis and everything worked perfectly. For breakfast the first day, my friend mentioned that she didn't like Mango juice and Karlita made sure to have orange juice for all of our other breakfasts. All in all this was a great stay!

I couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Havana, especially since it was our first time visiting. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and included various fresh fruit, fruit juice and eggs however you wish. The rooms were extremely clean and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is right by all the sights in Vedado and walking or taking a taxi to Habana Vieja is easy. We are definitely going to stay with Karlita again on our next trip to Havana!

Nous n'avons pas séjourné dans la casa (qui n'a rien d'un hôtel et ne correspond pas aux photos). Cette casa est située sur un immense boulevard pollué tant par le bruit que par les gaz d'échappement. A éviter sauf si vous êtes en manque de bruit, de pleine ville, de gaz d'échappement, ... .

Karlita was an excellent host! She gave us excellent tips for taxis, restaurants, bars and also put us in touch with an great host in Trinidad. The location of the flat is very convenient. Our room was cleaned daily and breakfast was nice. Totally recommend staying there!

Everything was perfect! really clean rooms and bathrooms. Karlita and her staff had been really nice with us and they really care about their clients!

Todo mal en casa Carlita!porque no nos dejó alojarnos allí a pesar de que teníamos hecho la reserva.Nos prometió que pasaríamos 2 noches en otro alojamiento,todo mentira.Pasamos una noche en otro lugar que no tenía baño,y de allí nos pasaron a otra casa.No hay derecho,con las maletas de un lado a otro.Y encima se quedo con el %10 que teníamos pagado.

Mala experiencia,pésima.Son unos mentirosos.

When I arrived the casa, there was a water problem in whole building. The casa owner said I couldn't stay there then recommended another casa which I didn't like. Finally I had to find an accommodation by myself which wasted several hours. Finally stayed a hotel in Vedado area for 2 nights and spended 75cuc per night.

I already paid the deposit for the casa Karlita, can you let me know when I will have refund & money difference for

the hotel.

Worse Experience ever. I would give it -10 if i could. We booked a room at Karlita for January and paid hostels club 10% ($30) down payment. We later had to change our dates and hostels club was not helpful, a very unhelpful rep told us we needed to do it directly with the Casa which defeats the reason for booking through hostels club to avoid potential scams in Cuba! we had to rebook and pay another downpayment ($30) to arrive to Karlita with no room for us! she gave us a bullshit excuse she had used with other people and told us somebody extended their stay!!!! we had confirmed with her before departing and she still managed to scam us and booked us a room nearby which was completely uncomfortable and not of the same quality and the lady did not speak a word of english! She ruined our vacation in Cuba and on top of that my purse was stolen when i first arrived because I left my stuff at Karlita to go downstairs to her neighbour to see the room she wanted us to stay at! When i ran back up looking for my purse, her housekeeper told us it was not there and Karlita said i must have forgot it in the taxi and started telling me to go downstairs in a rude manner! The last day of our trip we discovered it was not in the taxi because we found the driver who drove us from the airport. It must have been somebody at Karlita's but i guess we will never know! Bottom line Karlita is the worse host ever, she only cares about your money and she will give the room to whoever comes first! Mu advise to anyone booking through hostels club or at Karlita: Booking through the website will not guarantee your booking, you will not get support from Karlita or HostelClub if something goes wrong with your booking. Do not waste your money on 10% downpayment , book directly with the Casa and if i were you, I would have a backup Casa . My partner and I are savy travellers and we take all precautions, it was our first experience with hostels club and Casa Karlita and we are extremly disappointed with both. got my purse stolen with all my cards and iPhone and wasted $60 on double downpayment! I hope my review will be helpful to other people out there!

Was a great time at casa carlitas hostel. We started here our Cuba-Trip and got a personal and extensive introduction about Cuba, Havanna and things to consider in the city and while travelling = ) Besides this she helped us with organizing different other things.

Impossible to note properly because we ´ve been sent away in another casa!

Officially, plumbing probs, I really think it was an overbooking as they use to do, taking commission by sending us somewhere else.

Useless to book somewhere if it is impossible to stay there !

Muy buen hostal! Nos acogieron muy bien, ricos desayunos, excelente café y atención. Incluso nos dejaron guardar las maletas sin ningún costo el día que volvíamos a Chile y pasábamos solo unas horas por la Habana. Así que pudimos caminar tranquilos, sin maletas y luego las recogimos sin problemas. Totalmente recomendado!

UN TRATO DE PRIMERA, NOS RECIBIÓ KARLITA Y NOS ATENDIO INCREIBLE LA CASA EN MUY BUENA ZONA, MUY RECOMENDABLE

Casa Karlita es un lugar bien ubicado. Tiene un perro encantador,TITI. Le hemos cogido más cariño a TITI que a la dueña. Se desayuna estupendamente y hay mucha tranquilidad.Todos los que trabajan allí son super amables y encantadores. El café es el mejor que he tomado en toda cuba.volveremos

Casa karlita is a wonderful place to stay. Karlita and her staff could not have been more accommodating. They were exceptionally kind and went out of their way for us. Room was perfect for three people, clean and with air conditioning. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and again the people were fantastic. Highly recommended!

Das Ausergewöhnliche an der Casa Kalita sind die netten Menschen die dort arbeiten.Besonders Karlita steht mit Rat u Tat zur Seite und ist sehr hilfsbereit bei der Organisation der weiteren Reise.

CASA KARLITA es un lugar ideal para quien quiera tener la mejor experiencia en la ciudad de La Habana. Tanto la señora Karlita, como las demás extraordinarias mujeres que trabajan allí, hacen de la estadía una experiencia familiar cargada de amistad y buena atención. La ubicación es excelente, la casa tiene una bella arquitectura, y para quienes lo desean, venden muy buenos desayunos. Todo eso hace del lugar una experiencia maravillosa.

Casa Karlita is a big surprise of our trip to Havana. It is clean and beautiful. In particular, the owner Karlita speaks very fluent English and is so warm. She gave us many useful suggestions and told us interesting stories. We enjoy the stay there very much. It is close to Havana University, and takes 4-5CUC to old city by taxi.

we booked ostel one month in advance. We arrived the first night and no room was available for us. The owner, Karlita, broght us to another casa particulare, that did not have the private bathroom in the room and that wasn't properly cleaned. THe day afer we wnt back to Karlita's. the room was fine, the staff very nice and helpful (expecially Maria Luisa). Breakfast was a way too expensive (5cuc) and you can get the same breakfast at the restaurant just downstairs for only 1 CUC!!

The last night we came back to Havana, Karlita didn't have the room as she assured. We had to go and look for another aparment at 9pm.

Karlita fue muy amable con nosotras, nos recibió muy bien y nos orientó para que lográramos visitar todos esos lugares que queríamos en tan poco tiempo. El desayuno muy rico. Nos sentimos muy a gusto.... Lo recomiendo 100% !!

Karlita was extremely welcoming and gave us great tips for exploring Havana and the city. The rooms were very clean and the air conditioner worked very well. The location is around the uni which is good for some more local / grungy bars, restaurants and clubs. Old Havana is only a $1 American car trip away. Highly recommended!

WOWZA! I don't even know where to begin... I booked this casa last minute and I must have incredible luck because this place was awesome! Karlita and her staff were very welcoming and right off the bat I felt like they were apart of my family. It is in a great location, has lots of character, the food was very flavorful and fresh (delicious fresh fruit, freshly

Squeezed juices, eggs cooked to perfection,etc), everything was very clean and tidy, and the customer service was excellent! Karlita and her team really went above and beyond for us and even set up taxis for us, told us all the best attractions and even taught me some Spanish! Spread the word about this casa!!

Casa Karlita in Havana is a very charming colonial place to stay. It's located close to landmarks of Havana. Karlita and her co-workers are very friendly. Karlita is very open and helpful person. Moreover she is a source of knowledge about the city and the country. Excellent starting point.
