Airports

By train
Direct connections from Dortmund (InterCity), Karlsruhe, Ulm, Munich, Basel and Zurich. Whether on the Eurocity or the Interregio, you can travel directly to our holiday island. Regular services mean that further travel options (with just one change required) are available from every direction, in most cases hourly.

Municipal bus service to the hostel
The Lindau municipal bus runs every half hour and is an ideal way of getting to the youth hostel and all other destinations in town. To reach the youth hostel, simply get on a line 1 or 2 bus, change at the ZUP stop onto a line 3 bus towards Zech, and get off at the Jugendherberge stop .
By car/coach
You can drive to Lindau on the A 96, B 12, B 18 or via the B 31. Continue to „Lindau-Insel“ and follow the signs „Jugendherberge“.

To stay in a German Hostel, you need to be a member of a Youth Hostel Association.
If you do not live in Germany, you can become a member of the Youth Hostel Association in your home country. To apply for membership, please contact the Youth Hostel Association in your country.
Germans and foreigners with a permanent residence in Germany can become members of the German Youth Hostel Association DJH. Regardless of when or how much you wish to travel: the membership fee is only due once a year.

* Families/27 plus: 21 €
An international guest who does not hold a membership card can purchase an International Guest Card in place of membership. He is required to buy a Welcome Stamp for each night of his stay at the cost of 3,10 €. When he or she has collected 6 Welcome Stamps, the Guest Card becomes valid in all Hostels worldwide or entitles the holder to reduced rates for his stay. Validity is 12 months from the date of issue.

Alternatively, a Guest Card with immediate international validity can be obtained at 15,50 €
