Home Red Door is a small and cozy guesthouse with perfect location. We opened up at the beginning of October 2015 and our goal is to have a friendly home like atmosphere.

We have one 6 bed mixed dorm and one 4 bed mixed dorm. Both rooms with bunk beds and feature lockers for luggage and digital heat controller for floor heat. The bathroom is big with shower cabin, and provided with hand soap and shower gel/shampoo (ECO friendly).
As well we have computer and TV with high-speed internet where you can figure out what tours to take the day after or watch something fun on Youtube. We focus on Earth positive goals and shop as much as possible Eco-friendly

We offer you a big and bright common area where you have access to everything to make you feel like at home. Once you enter the house you come into an open area where to relax after the day. In the kitchen, we have a kettle, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee, tea and other things that belong in the kitchen (no stove cooking). We have high-speed WiFi for free in the house, which has full strength in all rooms.

We are located on best spot, really central, just a few steps from main shopping street Laugarvegur. To get to BSI which is the bus terminal for tours you have 10-15 min walk. For Hlemmur which is the main station for the city bus is 5 min walk and supermarket Bonus 2 minutes. There are just a few steps to multiple restaurants, bars, clubs, museums and other great attraction that Reykjavik has to offer.

If you want to stay in a small cozy hostel with a comfortable home-like atmosphere this would be the place. We do our best for the environment with recycling in the hostel, earth friendly washing liquids, toilet paper made in Iceland from 100% recycled paper and so on. We would love you to join us creating that positive feeling.
