Sarnath is the place Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after attaining enlightenment in Bodh gaya.
Only a ten minute walk away is the national museum, all major Buddhist monasteries, the 64 ft high Dhamek stupa, archeological ruins, deer park (Mrigdav), Jain temples and other monuments.
Sarnath is a very relaxing place to stay and explore.
