For traditional farming communities, “Su Barchile” was the name of a stone tub used for salting cheese.
It was the restoration and renovation of one of Orosei’s seven barchiles that sets the stage for this hotel and restaurant owned and run by the Chessa family.
Maria, Antonella and Giuseppe are the heart and soul of Su Barchile, the crowning achievement of Maria’s talent and sensibility in cooking and her husband Pietro’s great passion for the great blue yonder.
Su Barchile is a journey of rediscovery of the pleasures of Sardinian hospitality and traditional cuisine, brought back to life with creative joy and curiosity.
