About us
We are going to be celebrating in November our 5th year of activity. This project started when the creators of Masaya visited an old colonial house of Santa Marta, full of history. We aim to offer a qualitative, affordable and local experential stay to our guests. You can relax in a hammock, play pool or enjoy cultural activities such as salsa dancing classes and exhibitions of local art. Finally, our two pools (one on the rooftop next to the bar) assure the relaxed mood of the hostel.

Accommodation
Masaya Hostel has a capacity of over 85 persons per night. We dispose of all types of room. We have basic, standard and superior private rooms. They are all equipped of their own bathroom, flat screens, include breakfast and air-conditioning. As well, we have shared dorms of 4, 6 and 12 beds, where most of them are equipped of air-conditioning.

Services and activities
This is the ultimate place for relaxation where you can chill out by the pool, find a quiet reading spot or join in our daily cultural activities. The fully equipped kitchen allow the guests to make their own food, while also being able to enjoy our service of bar and restaurant.


Surroundings
We are located at a 6 minutes walk from the beach. Located in the heart of Santa Marta, just 400 m from the bay, Masaya Hostel is where it is most convenient for travelers to stay. Gold Museum and Bolivar Park are situated just 300 m from Masaya Santa Marta, while guests can reach the city’s historic cathedral in a 15-minute walk. Simon Bolivar Airport is less than 20 km away.
