Quite nice hostal for its price, good location, very kind men in reception. We couldn‘t reach the hostal at time because of the strike. We just called to reception and we hadn‘t any problems with it despite we were in Madrid only at 2 a. m. This hostal have had something splendid: grand building with beautiful staircase, high ceiling, parket floor. It‘s convenient for living. But the street Grand Via is very lively all night, the traffic is big. The hostal is situated in 5 floor, so the air in our room was quite fresh but the noise of cars was big. And the towels looked clean but smelt very unpleasant, something strange. Other things were OK, they gave us the map of high quality.

Perfectamente ubicado!!! a solo 25m de la estación de metro de la Gran Vía. Impecable los baños y la limpieza. lo único incómodo es que pareciera estar siempre cerrado, pero al tocar el timbre y esperar un par de minutos sale el encargado... Es perfecto para dormir y asearse, a fin de cuentas para eso son los hostales

We were guests of Hostal Splendid in Augus 2011 for 4 days. The great andvantage of the Hostal is doubtless the location. The metro station (Gran Via) is very close, only few seconds. By foot it is possibile to get almost everywhere, within the city center.
The staff is kind and discreet.
After 11pm the gate at the ground floor closes, but you are aloowed to eneter, with a pass of the Hostal, at any time. This system is very safe.
The rooms are cleaned everyday and are acceptable.
The only negative aspect is the fact that they do not speak English almost at all.
The overall rate is definitely positive.

großartige Lage direkt an der Gran Via, sehr nettes personal, Zimmer die einem Hotel gleich kommen.
leider kein frühstück. kein Hostel um andere menschen kennen zu lernen.

地理位置很好，所以省了很多车钱，老板满客气的，不过不太会说英语，西班牙大多数人都不会，所以可以原谅的。房间小不过很干净，晚上也安静，不过隔音不太好，但是这个价格还是比较公道的。整体还是很满意的

Albergo semplice ma pulito, portiere all'entrata dalle 23 in poi quindi anche molto sicuro. Posizione centralissima..praticamente la metro non si prende mai..se non per arrivare dall'aeroporto. Rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo!Lo consoglio!

ビルの中の一角にこのホテルはあります。
下の階は別のホテルが入ってるから静かにねとスタッフが言う割に床が軋み気を遣いました。
スタッフは基本無愛想ですが、おじいちゃんスタッフはとても優しかったです。
チェックインやチェックアウトの時間は特に決まって無く、何時でもOKでした。
立地的には地下鉄グラン・ビア駅やレストラン、売店、薬局がすぐ近くにあり、とても便利でした。

O hotel é o certo para quem està de passagem por madri. A unica reclamçao e das toalhas que mais parecem uma tabua.
Facil de achar, bem localizado, proximo a linha de onibus amarela que vai ao aeroporto. Muito bom e d efacil relacionamento. Recomendo.

It is rather a hotel than a hostel, only privet rooms, very clean, in the very center of the city (a noisy street). No common spaces. Nice.

This is a very nice and friendly place. Everything worked nicely, and it is really IN THE MIDDLE of Madrid.
Just one thing: walls are VERY thin, and you can hear everything around, the staff cleaning, the people in the next room chatting. Bring your ear plugs :)

O Hostal Splendid é muito bem localizado, com várias opções de transporte. É limpo porém eu gostaria que o tapete de banheiro, de material plástico, fosse substituído por tapete de tecido de algodão. O atendimento é bom. Proprietários e funcionários corteses e solícitos.

The hostal is so cute and in a perfect location. Close to the metro and right on the Gran Via. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would fully recommend this hostel.

El Hostal está muy bien ubicado, el personal me pareció muy bien, está todo bien limpio y tiene lo justo para estar cómodo unos días en Madrid en una excelente ubicación.Es el quinto piso de un edificio antiguo sobre la gran vía, las habitaciones pequeñas pero tienen TV, aire acondicionado, y wifi, yo pensé que no pero llegué pregunté y tenía.

Небольшой, чистый, аккуратный, на центральной улице, совсем рядом от станции метро. Персонал очень плохо говорит по английски, но это не вызвало никаких неудобств.

Ottimo per soggiornare in modo economica e visitare la città, posizione centrale e ben servita da mezzi pubb.(bus metro). Ricavato in palazzo d'epoca quindi struttura non nuovissima stanze ben climatizzate con TV, bagno in camera un po.....rustico ma spazioso con vasca e doccia. Rapporto qualità/prezzo molto buono.

It was a very nice and clean place to stay. The staff was very accommodating and understanding. The location was great but the directions were a bit vague for a person who hasnt been to Madrid before.

La habitación demasiado pequeña y es interior. Las personas que trabajan allí muy amables. Lo único que no me gusta es que cuando reservé por internet te piden un depósito de 5 euros que se supone te lo descuentan del precio del hotel que era 30 euros una vez que lo abones. Pues bien en ningún momento te hacen el descuento de los cinco euros. Por lo tanto, cuando dicen que la habitación cuesta 30 euros no es cierto. La habitación en realidad cuesta 35 euros. Publicidad falsa.
