From the rodaviario (bus terminal) catch any bus to la Aduana then take the ascensor (furnicular) from la Aduana to the top of cerro Artilleria (2 minutes) We are 80 metres from the Acsensor in Pasaje Capitan Muñoz Gamero. Bus and ascensor is the authentic way to travel in Valparaiso! Most streets were built long before cars were popular.

Alternatively take a taxi from the rodiviaro to Paseo 21 de Mayo (about 3.000 pesos). Capitan Muñoz Gamero runs down the hill from 1 de Mayo.

A colectivo is a fixed route taxi which is a much more economical way to travel to 21 de Mayo. From the rodiviaro catch clectivo Pacifico San Roque. This is the only colectivo with a RED (not orange)sign on top. Ask for 21 de mayo. Cost about 350 pesos (US$0.80).
