White Nest Hostel

Directions (how to arrive at the hostel) / Как добраться до хостела:

The White Nest Hostel is located on Calle Santisimo #4. We are a short 10 minute walk up from Plaza Nueva in the city center. From Plaza Nueva you have to take the street named Carrera del Darro. The path is narrow, running alongside the river and is cobblestoned. Our street is a left turn off Carrera del Darro. When you arrive at our street you will see a sign posted on the upper part of the wall that says White Nest Hostel. Very easy and again a short 10 minute walk through a very beautiful part of our city.
*** Please make note: There is another street called Nuevo de Santisimo; this is not our street nor is it near the city center!****

From the bus station :

Take bus line SN1(Light Green) and get off at the 5th stop. Here you will change buses to bus line LAC(Dark Green). You may reuse the ticket for the next bus free if it is less than 60 minutes. Bus Line LAC will take you through the main street Gran via de Colón. The last bus stop on this street is where you need to get off; you will be right next to the cathedral.

From the train station:

Upon exiting the train station terminal, the only street leading towards and away from the train station is Street Faisán. Walk up this street and you will reach Avenida del Sur. Turn right and there will be a bus stop where you will take bus line LAC. Bus Line LAC will take you through the main street Gran via de Colón. The last bus stop on this street is where you need to get off; you will be right next to the cathedral.

Walking from 'Gran Via 1' bus stop to White Nest hostel, Calle Santisimo 4:

Cross the street (Gran Via de Colon) and head right until you get to the corner where Gran Via meets street Reyes Catolicos facing the big Statue of Columbus and Isabel. Turn left and after about 50 metres you’ll reach Plaza Nueva. Once there, head straight (passing by the round fountain on your left hand side). From the end of the square take the only street going along the river called Carrera del Darro. Follow it until you see San Pedro y San Pablo church on your right. You�ll find Calle Sant�simo about 20 metres further up the road, on your left. (Note that there is another street in Granada called Nuevo de Santisimo and it is not the right one).

If you prefer to take a taxi from the train or the bus station to our Hostel on Calle Santisimo numero 4, in both cases it will take you about 10 minutes and it will cost you around 8 euros. (Likewise, please note that there is another street called Nuevo de Santisimo and it is not the right one).

By car:

The hostel is situated in the old town which makes parking quite a difficult task (narrow streets, little parking space etc.) Consider leaving your vehicle at Plaza de Campos car park (16-19� /24 h) in the city centre and walking to the hostel from (about 15 min). However, if you prefer to access the hostel by car, the best option would be to take Carrerra del Darro, find a place to stop and drop off your bags then carry on until the end of the street and turn to the left. The majority of this area is free to park on the street, the best place to look is Carretera de Murcia. If you do choose to come by car, we will need the number plate and passport number of the driver just so we can grant you permission to pass the streets that are controlled by cameras.
Please, keep in mind that the access to certain areas, including Albaicin and Sacromonte, is regulated by a system that allows access of public transport and authorized vehicles only. You can find the restrictions timetable below:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: Mornings: from 8.00 to 12.00 H. Afternoons: from 17.00 to 20.00 h.
- Time table for access to C/ Tablas:
Mornings: from 8.00 to 14.00 h. Afternoons: from 16.00 to 20.00 h.
- Time table for access to C/ Recogias:
Daily: from 8.00 to 22.00 h.

1. Head southeast on Calle Gran V�a de Col�n toward Calle de Zacat�n 52 m
2. Turn left at Calle Reyes Cat�licos 11 m
3. Slight left to stay on Calle Reyes Cat�licos 0.1 km
4. Continue onto Plaza Nueva 52 m
5. Continue onto Plaza Sta Ana 0.1 km
6. Plaza Sta Ana turns slightly right and becomes Carrera del Darro 0.4 km
7. Turn left at calle Santisimo. You are in White Nest Hostel 33 m



From Granada Airport, you can take a bus no 245 leaving just outside the terminal, which takes you to to Gran via stop 1, from there you can follow the walking directions above.
