How long can I stay in a hostel?
Some hostels might have maximum stay restrictions and won’t allow you to stay longer than a couple of weeks, since the idea of hostelling is that people are travelling across a country, and not staying in the same place all the time. However many others will not mind if you stay longer: at the end of the day you are still their customer! As some hostels don’t take residents and locals, you will be required to prove that you are an international traveller by showing you ID or International passport

Not every hostel is provided with facilities to suit groups travel needs; the best idea is to book well in advance, so you can be sure to find the right hostel and rooms for everyone in your group.
What kind of facilities are available in hostels?
The best thing to do is to check the online facilities list available for all properties listed on HostelsCentral; most (but not all) hostels will offer laundry facilities, Internet and Wi-Fi connection, lockers for your valuables and a breakfast service. Some will even offer more. If you are travelling with a dog, remember to check and make sure it is a pet friendly property!
Do I need to book hostels in advance?
Definitely yes, and that’s why we’re here. Especially in high season and even more in top destinations, hostels can be fully booked and have no rooms available. Booking in advance is always a good idea: it’s stress free and you will definitely have much more time to have fun rather than looking for last minute accommodation!
Is breakfast included in hostels? Can I cook in hostels?
You will have to check in the hostel online description since some hostels include breakfast in their online rates and some don’t; if they don’t, it can be purchased separately as it is reasonably cheap and rich. Some hostels provide cooking facilities, such as a fully equipped kitchen with all utensils to cook your own food. Hostel staff will be more than happy to give you advices about the cheapest bars and food outlets in the neighbourhood.
