Vienna and Christmas markets are two concepts that are perfect together, also because often associated with the Austrian capital with the winter period, with the Christmas's lights, with snow and the hot chocolate with whipped cream.
There are several Christmas markets in Vienna, not one, but many, so you'll have just the spoiled for choice!
Christmas market at Schönbrunn Castle
From 19th November to 26th December the market is open every day from 10am to 9pm.
The 24th December is open from 10am to 4pm, and the 25th and 26th December, from 10am to 6pm.
Where is it? At the Castle Schönbrunn.
Christmas Market in Vienna
This market is open from the 12th November to 26th December, daily from 10am to 4pm.
Where is it? At Rathausplatz.
Christmas market at Altes AKH
You can make crazy shopping at this Christmas market from the 12th November to the 23rd December, so until just before Christmas, from Monday to Friday from 11am to 9pm, while on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 9pm.
Where is it? At the old hospital.
Advent Market
At the Advent Market, you can find ceramics, wooden artifacts and jewelry. The market is open from 11th November to 23rd December, from Monday to Thursday from 11am to 9pm, and from Friday to Sunday from 10am to 9pm.
Where is it? In the Am Hof square.
Christmas market in Stephansplatz
Every day from 11th November to 26th December, from 11am to 16pm (except for December 25 and 26, which is extended until 19pm), is made the Christmas market in the main square in Vienna.
Where is it? At Stephansplatz, the heart of Vienna.
Christmas village
Among the crafts and delicious dishes, this Christmas market opened from 18th November to 23rd December, daily from 10am to 9pm.
Where is it? At Belvedere Palace, in the garden of the castle.
Christmas village of Maria-Theresien-Platz
The other Christmas market not to be missed is the one of Maria-Theresien-Platz. It begins the 16th of November and ends on 26th December, from 11am to 9pm from Sunday to Thursday and from 11am to 10pm from Friday to Saturday.
On 25th and 26th December the hours may change slightly: from 11am to 7.30pm.

Advent Art - Karlsplatz Art & Crafts
The market dedicated to the art and craft begins the 18th November and lasts until the 23rd December, and is open every day from 12pm to 8pm, but you can eat up to 9pm.
