The cities of Italy are filled with colored lights during the Christmas season, and often these are accompanied by funny little houses, which sell the most diverse objects for a truly original Christmas gift.

The tradition of the Christmas markets has landed, for the first time in Italy, in Bolzano, its market, in fact, is the oldest of all. This tradition comes directly from Germany, where the Christmas markets are a "must".

In Italy, now, many cities give way to markets, selling also the typical local Christmas products. What are the most beautiful Christmas markets in Italy? Here they are below.

BOLZANO

Surely one of the most popular markets in absolute terms and, as we said at the beginning, the oldest.

Since 1990, the wooden houses take place in Walther Square, ready to sell pounds of Zelten (fruit bread, typical of the city) and crafts.

TRENTO

Another of the most famous Christmas markets in Italy is the one in Trento, in Fiera Square. Wines, sweets, savory products, in a gastronomic level. There are no limits in Trento, then, there is also all the decorative part, from cribs to incense and essential oils to glass bijoux.

NAPLES

Naples is the city of cribs. Consider the fact that Via San Gregorio Armeno, which can be reached throughout Spaccanapoli, is the more excellent way of the cribs.

Although Christmas in Naples is almost all the year, during the actual Christmas season, the city turns and starts fattening, sweets and other delicacies, but also filled with handicrafts.

VERONA

Even the magical city of Romeo and Juliet is not escaped to the Christmas markets, especially Signori's Square becomes the stage of a show marked by lights, hot chocolates, super sweet desserts and wooden toys.

In the same period, then, Verona lights up, but no waste, thanks to the project, Verona is dressed in lights.

TORINO

A short walk from the Royal Gardens of Turin, in Borgo Dora Square, taking place the wooden houses, typical of the Christmas markets.

This market is distinguished from the previous by the presence of a thematic, different each year. The stalls are arranged on an increasingly diverse set design and always with a Christmas theme.

A curiosity: in Solferino's Square, a market is organized in twinning with another Nation, therefore, that there will be stalls belonging to the city of Turin and the city hosted.
