WHAT TO SEE

The Serbian capital is a city with a long and troubled history and only at the beginning of the twenty-first century could fully exploit its tourist activities. The Belgrade Fortress


Kalemegdan is a park located in the center of Belgrade, located on top of a hill 125 meters high, inside the Fortress of Belgrade, one of the most important historical buildings in Belgrade, since among its ruins there are legacies of age Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and Austrian.

Skadarlija


This is an historic downtown area of Belgrade, and is considered the bohemian neighborhood of the Serbian capital. Stop here, whether by day or by night, in one of the local historic district takes on a special significance.

Temple of Saint Sava


The Temple of Saint Sava is the biggest Orthodox church in the world and it is dedicated to Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church and one of the most important figures of the medieval history of the nation. The architectural features are very particular, the dome, the crypt containing the treasure of Saint Sava. Masses of Orthodox rite are still celebrated in the small church of St. Sava attached to it.

Museums in Belgrade


Museums in Belgrade there are so many: from the most important National Museum of Serbia which main work within it is the Gospel of Miroslav. Afterwards you can visit the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of the City of Belgrade, the Aeronautics, the railway, the African Art and many others.

GETTING AROUND

The best way to discover the city is definitely by walking or with the bike but if you prefer to move with the transport means, then you can use the urban services include trams, trolleybuses and buses. In some cases, these vehicles are a bit dated but efficient. The public service is active, full-time, from 04:30 in the morning until 23:30 in the evening, part-time from 23:30 to 02:10 in the morning.
