How would it be nice to spend a warm Christmas? A dream of many and, if you happened to read this article, also yours.

Spend the Christmas holidays in the heat is a different experience from the usual, different if you're used to living surrounded by the snow and a heavy coat. The question then is: where to go to be able to unwrap the presents under a scorching sun?

We thought to give you some ideas ...

MALTA

Let's start with a place fairly around the corner for us Italians, that in terms of costs is also not too prohibitive, despite being high season.

To find out what to see, you can read this article.

Where to stay

Malta is very small and choose one place rather than another is not too restrictive, since that you can reach easily other villages. However, we suggest you to stay or in Sliema, at the Hostel Jones, or in Qwara at The San Anton Hotel, or in Saint Julian's, at the Marco Polo Hostel Malta.

MOROCCO

In Morocco is practically warm all the year. Just think, you could take a bath on a Christmas Day, in waters, moreover, beautiful, or give you the opportunity to discover cities like Marrakech and Fez.

Where to stay

About Marrakech we recommend you a very nice hostel, in a typical Moroccan house, Riad Itry

while for the city of Fez, the Funky Fes is located in a walking distance from the major attractions of the city, also it has the colors of Andalusia.

AUSTRALIA

Maybe a little bit far, to go there only if you have available at least two weeks.

In Australia the summer season begins in December, you'll only have to choose whether to start to visit it from Sydney, Cairns, Perth or Melbourne. To not mistaking, we suggest you an accommodation for each of these cities.

Where to stay

Starting from the West Coast, in Perth we have a great hostel to suggest you, the Coolibah Lodge.

In Sydney, however, the Elephant Backpacker Sydney is right in downtown, close to Hyde Park and the Botanical Gardens.

In Cairns, where there is the reef, we suggest you two very wonderful hostels, the second of which almost looks like a resort, but low cost, we are talking abou the Waterfornt Backpackers and the Gilligans Backpackers Hotel & Resort.

In Melbourne, however, the Discovery Melbourne and the All Nations Backpackers are really two great level hostels.

BRAZIL

Do not make the mistake of thinking to going to Rio de Janeiro just for Carnival, Christmas here and also in Sao Paulo is very felt, plus it's warm and you spend it with swimsuit, making a sun bath.

Where to stay

In Rio de Janeiro the 021 Hostel is located in a beautiful white house with a garden, and also has a bar in it

if you want something in the bohemian Rio area, then you could opt for the B&B Alma de Santa.

In Sao Paulo, however, two great hostels: the We Hostel Design, modern and appealing, or the colorful O De Casa.

SOUTH AFRICA

Even in South Africa summer arrives in December and people wear the Santa Claus hat to go to the beach ... try not to be outdone!

Cape Town or Johannesburg? Difficult choice, both beautiful and so different. Sure, near Cape Town there is also an entire beach of penguins, also there are 5 reasons to go there, but then it's up to you to choose.

Where to stay

In Cape Town, the choice is wide, but we want to suggest you two hostels in particular: the Never@Home Cape Town

or the Riverlodge Backpackers.

The first of the two organize braai's, a typical barbecue in South Africa.

In Johannesburg, on the other hand, there is the Accoustix Backpack Lodge, a hostel that has a soft spot for artists, especially musicians. Are you a musician? Here you have the opportunity to let people hear your music and to have a discount of 15%.
