Sem dúvida este é um Hostel com uma excelente localização e com um serviço muito atencioso. Bastante central e com todas as comodidades. Se tiver oportunidade de ficar uma vez mais em Madrid, irei escolher o Hostal Puerta Del Sol!

staff are not proactively helpful and friendly. I was having trouble opening the door while the reception was just sitting there looking. He did not offer any help until I asked for it 5 mins later.
Atmosphere was not great. Partly because staff are not friendly, nobody mingles in the common areas.

The best hostel in terms of localization;
The sheets were clean, and they gave the towels;
The hot water was great, in the Madrid's cold weather;
The breakfast was very good, and they serve coffee and biscuits 24 h.
I strongly recomend.

Receptionist incompetente!.. praticamente inutile! Colazione povera! Non lo consiglierei a nessuno. Assolutamente da EVITARE!

Een fijn hostel midden in Madrid. Voor gays een prima vertrekpunt. Verhouding prijs-kwaliteit is ok. Relaxte mensen, maar dat geldt voor heeeel Madrid. We komen nog een keer terug.

Excelente lugar para quedar en Madrid; màs céntrico no puedes estar; aunque modesto, ofrece servicios completos como la internet, tv por cable y simpáticos desayunos; el personal es muy agradable y atento y Ricardo está en disposición de ayudar en todo momento sin duda lo utilizaré nuevamente¡¡Gracias!!!

Ich war sehr zufrieden. Das Hostal liegt sehr zentral und man die Sehenswürdigkeiten und das Gay-Viertel locker zu Fuss erreichen.

Posizione centrale, comodo per raggiungere qualsiasi parte della città. Ostello pulito, tranne un piccolo inconveniente trovato sulle lenzuola...prontamente segnalato e cambiato immediatamente! Rapporto qualità-prezzo alto, se non si hanno tante pretese.

L'hotel puerta del sol è frequentato da una clientela piuttosto varia, a volte un po bizzarra ed estremamente divertente. La struttura non è nuovissima ma ugualmente confortevole. La posizione è strategica, 10 minuti a piedi dai principali musei e dai principali luoghi di divertimento di chueca. Da provare!

I am not able to give a very detailed feedback a the hotel had plumbing problems and I was redirected to the americana hotel nearby. Due to the endless converations the recdeptionist had it was very difficult to sleep. The onlt criicisms of the Hostel Puerts dekl Sol are that a 2 slice toaster and 1 microwave are insufficient for the number of guests and each morning a considerable amount of time was spent in these queues.

è la seconda volta che ci vado mi ci sono trovato abbastanza bene dovrebbero tenere i prezzi un po piu bassi,i servizi non sono al massimo la colazione è misera e sempre le stesse cose cmqe se capita ci ritorno.

Ich habe mich irgendwie abgezockt gefuehlt.....viel zu teuer fuer ein kleines altes riechendes Zimmer. Es hat mir keinen Spass gemacht dort.

el lugar esta limpio, pero las instalaciones son muy viejas, las camas son un "desastre", no es lo que nos imaginabamos segun internet, de ninguna manera.
caro relacion precio/beneficio. por el mismo dinero consigues otros muchos mejores.
en un proximo viaje a Madrid eligiremos OTRO hotel, siempre por www.hostelsclub.com

El hostal esta muy limpio, pero las instalaciones estan muy viejas necesitan reformarse. Me parece caro para lo que ofrece. Su situación es inmejorable para conocer Madrid.

Durante l'estate c'è assolutamente bisogno dell'aria condizionata, che nella camera singola, in cui ho alloggiato, non c'era. La camera, piuttosto piccola, era un vero e proprio "forno" e la presenza di un ventilatore era quasi del tutto inutile.

É a segunda vez que fico neste hostel, e, novamente, tive uma boa estada. O café da manhã é simples, mas o suficiente para alimentar. Realmente, pode servir de hospedagem para homessexuais e heteros, embora os primeiros sejam a grande maioria.
Faria uma ressalva sobre os quartos sem ar condicionado, que embora equipados com ventilador, podem se tornar bem abafados no verão. Mas isso é compatível com o valor que resolvi pagar.
Os preços de quartos com ar condicionado podem ser pouco atrativos, uma vez que se encontra hoteis com melhores instalações e estrutura pelo mesmo valor, desde que reservados desde os locais de origem.
Para aqueles que resolverem reservar quartos sem banheiro privativo, muito provavelmente encontrarão o local limpo. Pelo menos até agora foi assim.

hôtel très sympa avec personnel très accueillant. Assez bruyant certains soirs, mais pour le reste très bien. Par contre toujours pas compris pourquoi il affublé de "gay" sur certains sites, c'est un hôtel tout ce qu'il y a de plus ordinaire !

You dont have to be gay to stay here, and its located perfectly in the center of Madrid! safe, quiet and you dont have to "bother" anyone to get into your room!:) Highly recomanded!!
