Baroque Hostel

Polite, accommodating, helpful and friendly staff, beautiful old house that has been restored as a hostel. Shabby chick/Narnia vibe (but very clean!). Bikes, lockers and towels to lend for free. Two fully stocked kitchens to cook, plenty of bathrooms and showers. Good location. I slept like a baby and enjoyed my stay ❤

Una buenisima relaccion calidad y precio aunque para ser un hostel no esta mal me dieron una habitacion para mi solo grande y con todas las comodidades en recepcion me ayudaron en todo y lo mejor ademas del precio que tambien es que se puede tomar el bus directo desde la estacion central de Budapest Keleti y en tres paradas te deja frente al hostel en unos diez minutos gracias

I was bitten by fleas in the bed I slept in. After two weeks, there are still marks on my hands and forearms, on my face/neck too.

I've been to "dirty" places in India & Nepal & NEVER had bugs like this in my accommodation.

Must look for a better place next time.

I was so excited to found and to stay with my family in Baroque Hostel in Budapest. It was nice atmosphere and good staf .Keep going. Greetings from Bulgaria.

It was very cheap, first of all, and you don't expect much when you're on a budget, but I was pleasantly surprised with its friendly staff, some very nice and bookish lounge areas, and its shabby chic (not actually baroque) style. The location is not the center of the city, but the subway is close, so it wasn't a problem at all, and if you enjoy a nice walk, it's even better. The surroundings are very nice. I found some old whimsical buildings I love. The staff was incredibly helpful, and even shared some esoteric mysteries with me. Maybe I'll come back one day!

The location is close to the station Keleti, so if you need to be there early in the morning, it's perfect. But otherwise would be maybe nicer to stay closer to the centre. The rooms were clean. Just the bathroom could be a little bit cleaner, but no big deal. It's a really nice hostel in general and a good atmosphere for meeting other backpackers. Would come back!

Very cool place, very nice people. The only thing is that the wall are very thin....you hear everything. Otherwise, totally worth it !

It was very lovely hostel to stay in. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was clean and tidied. Just one problem we had in hostel is that the our private room was definetely cold! The other coomon areas was pretty warm. But as general, it was nice place to stay!

It was great. Hostel is very clean, leaned regularly, very cozy, metro is very close, 5 minutes walking tops. Hostel is in a nice location, great neigborhood. I would recommend it definitely.

女子部屋に滞在したのですが、スタッフがシーツ等の洗濯物外に出せば乾くのに。なぜか女子べやの中に干して湿気がこもり、しかも干しっ放しで邪魔だった。男子スタッフがノックもせず洗濯物を取りに入ってきて驚いた!

予約の時の10%をスタッフが引き落とししていないからと言ってダブルチャージされそうになった。

really horrible service. awful sounds proved.you can hear very clearly what people are saying outside the kitchen. far away from the centre.. most importantly!!! one staff's attitude is extremely unfriendly... accuse me broke the TV and wanted me fixed it...I told him I accidentally turn off the switch of the extension. He said he has lots of time sitting there watching me fix the TV...which I didn't even break it....anyway...I am telling the really story...all my friends feel extremely uncomfortable living in this hostel...please rethink about it before you book the hostel!!!!

pase solo dos noches en el hostel, me parece que bien pueden mejorar algo en lo que a limpieza se refuiere, sobre todo en lo que es ropa de cama, la entrada para llegar a la puerta principal del hotel ter da un mal aspecto de primera entrada pero ya una vez dentro te sientes seguro, hay un chico que cubre las guardias de noche que no es muy amable que digamos pero el resto del personal es muy agradable, para 2 noches esta bien, pero creo que no lo repetiria.

The homepage promises more than you experience. Double private rooms are no lofts, but are really small without reading lights. Heating is too little in winter. Nonetheless great price/performance!

Da migliorare l'isolamento acustico tra le stanze.

Baroque hostel is zeker aan te raden! Het is een stuk lopen naar het centrum (je kunt ook gemakkelijk met de metro) maar er is een park tegenover, wat zeker de moeite waard is om te ontdekken! Een mooi kasteel, dierentuin, spa en schaatsbaan in de winter. En Heroes square en musea niet te vergeten!

jammer dat naast de stoep naar het hostel veel rotzooi lag, voor de rest prima!

wynajęty pokój dwuosobowy był bardzo mały - zdjęcie na stroie zupełnie nie oddaje jego wyglądu. prześcieradło było stare, podarte, w paru miejscach spleśniałe. pokój to antresola nad innym pokojem, oddzielona od grupowego pojoju i od recepcji tylko przeszkleniem - głośno.

Pomalo zapušten i mračan hostel, ali sa vrlo ljubaznim osobljem.

I was really satisfied, this hostel was even better than I'd expected. The hostel is situated very close to Secheni's baths and to metro station, so there are no problems to get to the city center. In the hostel there is everything you need, even you can take their tea and coffee. The hostel is clean, staff is friendly and helpful) really good quality, so I recommend this hostel without any doubts!

Very cheap and incredibly good hostel for that price. Everything was fine. No problem with tea bags and hot water. Only showers could be repaired, because they are little damaged and their usage is not comfortable.

Clean hostel for a very good price. Big parking lot just over the street. The staff also very friendly and helpfull. Only the rooms could be bigger with more wardrobes.

Very nice and clean hostel. Very helpful and nice staff. The hostel is located very close to a big park with castle, bath and a lot of things to see. It feels very safe . I really recomend it.

Sehr zentrale Lage und sehr nettes hilfsbereites Personal. Die private rooms sind allerdings als Lofts innerhalb der Schlafsaele gebaut, sodass es sehr laut sein kann und keine direkte Frischluftzufuhr moeglich ist. Insgesamt aber doch empfehlenswert.

Absolutely fantastic hostel. Really nice, clean, calm and peaceful flat, with beautiful old architecture. Position in the city is a little bit off the main drag, which again is good if you want to come back and relax in a quiet respectable neighbourhood.

Not necessarily "fun" because this is a calmer type of place. This is not the party centre of the universe - WHAT A BONUS!! It is wonderful to come back to a hostel where you can feel safe, clean and comfortable. The staff really look after you. Especially Eszter is a dream come true when it comes to customer service!! :)

This hostel is for the discerning traveller who wants a little of bit of 'luxury' at hostel prices. Anna and Robert were superb hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them.
