Civis Hotel Phoenix is situated in Tiszaujvaros, a fairly new town at the junction of the rivers Tisza and Sajo, on a beautiful lowland, halfway between the famous wine districts of Eger and Tokaj.

The hotel can serve as a good base for day trips and excursions, and it is ideal for holding conferences and trainings.

The three-star hotel welcomes guests in 76 rooms: the Comfort category offers simple but convenient equipment: bath, colour TV with satellite programmes and direct dial telephone, while Classic rooms include a mini-bar as well; in addition, the Executive category offers air-conditioning, hairdryer, and coffee machine. Non smoking rooms are available, and upon request extra beds as well. Additional services include a sauna, massages, a solarium, a beauty salon, a tourist office with program organization, and a business centre with Internet access.

A few hundred meters from the hotel, the Thermal Bath offers four thermal pools, one outdoor and three indoor, as well as a therapy section with doctors' examinations, balneotherapy (bath, mud packing, parafango), hydrotherapy (jacuzzi), underwater gymnastics, underwater jet massage, mechanotherapy (gymnastics, medical massage), light therapy, inhalation and electrotherapy; the water has high iodine and bromine content. The Lido offers sport courts, a sun terrace, playgrounds, and four pools: a swimming pool, a castle pool for children (climbing frames and slides), an adventure pool (anakonda-, kamikaze- and hill-slides, jacuzzi, hydromassage, water-stream) and a wave pool.

As Tiszaujvaros is a renowned town of sports, it has a Sports Centrum with the following facilities: indoor stadium and gym, 25 meter long swimming pool (6 lanes, 1.8 meter deep), sauna, hydro-massage pool, athletics and football stadium, triathlon club house (sauna, jacuzzi, training room, lounge, bicycle service), 2 indoor and 6 outdoor tennis courts, 3 football fields (2 grass-covered), street-ball and foot-tennis courts, weight-lifting hall (sauna, training room), table tennis hall, kayaking-canoeing training-pool, body-building equipment, entertainment centre.
