Nice place to stay. Owners are very hospitable. Location is great for self walking tours (close to the center). Good air conditioning system inside. Recommended for staing in SdC

We had a great time at the Hostal Amanecer. The hosts were very friendly and kind. They helped us with everything, like organizing trips, checking out Restaurants and reserving taxis. Also the location is very good. You just Walk a few Minuten to the Main Square. The room is quite big with a private bathroom and a TV.
I totally recommendend the hostal

We were welcome in the most considered and pleasant way. She knew it was our honeymoon and took the time to create a small present.
The casa is on a great location not too far from the main centre. In this casa is warm water.
The casa also has a large roof terrace and mother and daughter are always helping out when you have a question.

Hele fijne casa vlakbij veel bezienswaardigheden. Mooi koloniaal huis en fijne kamer met airco, erg prettig in het warme Santiago (begin mei bezocht). Ook het eten in de casa is aan te raden, Rosa en Enrique kunnen erg goed koken en zijn enorm gastvrij!

Situated a bit in a dodgy neigbourhood, but very nice and helpfull staff. Beautiful house with grandma wandering around. Such a shame they don't use their terrace.

We didn't like Santiago particularly but this wasn't the fault of the hostel. It was quite an impressive house and the room was fine, a bit old-fashioned but then most are. Despite that Rosa and José couldn't speak English we found them to be lovely lovely happy people, a joy to stay with. The breakfast here was the best we had. After nearly three weeks of fruit followed by egg we were getting a bit fed up, but the breakfast here had a few extras. Oh there's also a mega terrace upstairs though you don't eat here.

We had a great stay in this colonial house. However we couldn't stay the first night due to a missing booking, they offered us a casa in the same street. Breakfast portions are more than enough, especially fruit.

Rosa and Juan are great hosts, warm and welcoming and very helpful. Their casa is super clean and very conveniently located only five minutes walk to the historical centre. Highly recommended

El hostal es increíble.
Una casa espaciosa y los desayunos son muy abundantes. Los dueños son muy atentos y se preocupan por que el turista este como en su casa.
La casa está cerca del centro, se puede ir caminando sin problemas.
La aconsejo al 100%

Prima casa, hele fijne mensen. We hebben heerlijk ontbeten hier en de casa was een prima uitvalsplek voor het ontdekken van de stad. De mensen waren heel behulpzaam.

Por razones de enfermedad de algun miembro del hostal amanecer no nos pudimos hospedar. Nos recomendaron una casa vecina donde nos trataron muy bien.

Werden verplaats naar de buren/familie. Maar super netjes ontvangen en heel vriendelijk uitgelegd dat er in de casa werkzaamheden waren. Casa waar we uiteindelijk verbleven was erg netjes en super vriendelijke eigenaar

Near to citycenter, 5-10 min. walk. Very sweet owners and they were finishing two other bedrooms and a huge roofterrace when we were there in May 16. Big, good breakfast. And Jean-Carlos sings in a band, we saw him perform in a restaurant. Good show. First casa with a tv, didn't really use it, but was funny to see Cuban programming. Parkingfee was 2cuc p.night. The car was being watched by four older men..

Our best stay on the whole Cuba trip. Rosa y Juan are great and very helpful people. I was sick one day and Rosa cured him with her soup. They gave us very good tips and organized more casas for us and short trips in Santiago. We are very thankful for all their help. We also got to see Juan play music in a local bar!

Rosa and Juan Carlos were amazing. We had a issue with reservation where our added day was not processed. Rosa called around to see which hostal could take us and wouldn't let us leave until things were sorted out. When we came back to stay, they were amazing. Breakfast was great. My only complain would be that their description said 3 standard beds, which it wasn't really. It was 1 double bed and 1 single. I mentioned that to Rosa, and she said this will be changed so other travelers won't have an issue. If I ever come back to Santiago, I will stay with them again.
