Facilities are good. Hostel is quite nice. The location is a bit far from Main station(HauptBahnHof). But connectivity is good from the station. Overall a really good place to stay in.

Eravamo in 8 ragazzi e avevamo prenotato 8 posti in una camerata da 9 posti.

Purtroppo una volta arrivati ci hanno dato due camere da 4 (e quindi ci hanno divisi) dicendo che non c'erano più camere da 9 disponibili e che ci stavano facendo un favore perchè erano camere più costose e ce le davano allo stesso prezzo -__-'

The place was very nice and clean, except for the kitchen which, being used by many customers, was not the best. The hostel was not very central, but there is a good bus service and you can reach the city centre in few minutes. It is not exactly cheap, but we are happy we chose it.

Im 6-Bett-Zimmer war es gut zum Schlafen, aber sonst etwas knapp mit dem Platz bemessen. Wegen der Hauptverkehrsstraße vor dem Haus ist es bei offenem Fenster etwas laut auch in der Nacht. Insgesamt preiswert, wenn auch deutlicher gekennzeichnet sein sollte, dass das Frühstück 5,90 Euro und das Parken 11,00 Euro pro Tag extra kosten.

Ich habe das Meininger Hotel Salzbrg zusammen mit meiner Freundin für drei Tage gebucht und waren absolut zufrieden mit dieser Entscheidung. Das Hotel selber liegt zu Fuß gute 20min hinterhalb des Kapuzingerberges in einem Industriegebiet, ist aber mit der Linie 2 super zu erreichen und zu Fuß in die Innenstadt geht es nur geradeaus. Das Doppelzimmer sah absolut so aus wie auf den Bildern im Internet und hat unsere Erwartungen noch übertroffen. Fragt nach dem 5.Stock, es gibt eine herrliche Sicht auf den Berg. Das Frühstück zu buchen ist nicht nötig weil direkt gegenüber ein Hofer liegt bei dem es tolle Semmeln gibt und auch eine Gästeküche. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und hat unseren Aufenthalt abgerundet-jeder Zeit wieder

一週間、女性６人部屋に宿泊しました。

毎日のルームメイキングが入るので夕方頃までは！（笑）清潔です。

これはホステルというより他の宿泊者の問題でしょうね;;

日本人の感覚で行くと他の宿泊者（もちろん女性）の非常識さに辟易とするかもしれません。

シャワールームや洗面台に残る大量の髪の毛、自分のゴミは置きっぱなし、など･･･(-o-;)

神経質な方は要注意です。

ホステルの評価に戻ります。旧市街に徒歩でも行ける距離でしたし、

MEININGERグループ共通のサービス、

＜共同キッチン（冷蔵庫もあり）・ランドリー＆乾燥機（１回５ユーロ）・インターネット環境完備＞

Wow. What an amazing hotel for a hostel. Extremely modern technology and furnishings. Very clean. So much seating area and a lovely kitchen equipped with an oven & stove! Our 6 person room had two bathrooms and lockers for everyone. Breakfast was about 5 euros and had a bit of variety and lots of quantity. Location was 20-30 minute walk from the train station. Also, they do not provide directions which is absurd. The poor information booth at the train station has to be well prepared (they have a map for getting to the Meininger Hotel).

As the temperatures where raising wide above 35°C in Salzburg we had made that bad experience with our cooling System this year as well. Our techniques are already improving the cooling system; so that in future when the temperatures should raise that high again there should be no lack of coolness.

However, we do appreciate feedback, as this helps us to improve ourselves for the future.

I recommend going to the YoHo Hostel instead. I ended up crashing there rather drunk one night. The facilities are just as good, they have a bar, its closer and I think it was cheaper in comparison. Meininger was a good place to stay but everything had a price tag on it, and internet was too expensive.

definitely NOT situated in the city center, as the name would propose. negative points for that. salzburg has more the appeal of a village than of a city, not only in appaeal, but also demographically. the city center and also the main train station (salzburg hauptbahnhof) are far away, especially if you are carrying luggage with you. yet, the public transportation (bus) takes you right to the hostel (O-Bus line 2 - sterneckstraße) had a single room with a double bed and a couch, flat screen TV over the bed, free WIFI, modern (everything works with card system), room clean and tidy, very nice bathroom, big lounging and party area on the ground floor, parking possible. staff is ok, shopping facilities nearby (just over the street). I would say an ideal place for young folks, who want to have good time, but for a small town like salzburg it is off the beaten track.
