Facilities are good. Hostel is quite nice. The location is a bit far from Main station(HauptBahnHof). But connectivity is good from the station. Overall a really good place to stay in.

I had stayed two nights in this Hotel. I was very satisfied with the whole service and our room and bathroom as well. It was very clean and modern. The staff was nice and helpful. I recommend this accommondation to everyone.

Meininger is a very comfortable, clean and friendly hotel, staff was nice and helpful, we could get necessary information about your place ass well as about the town, what's more - we could book a bed in a really great price. If possible, I will look for your hotels in other cities! :)

Good place and the dorms bed's are really cheap provided the overall level of expenses in the country. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is rather simplistic though. I would not necessarily recommend it.

Wow. What an amazing hotel for a hostel. Extremely modern technology and furnishings. Very clean. So much seating area and a lovely kitchen equipped with an oven & stove! Our 6 person room had two bathrooms and lockers for everyone. Breakfast was about 5 euros and had a bit of variety and lots of quantity. Location was 20-30 minute walk from the train station. Also, they do not provide directions which is absurd. The poor information booth at the train station has to be well prepared (they have a map for getting to the Meininger Hotel).

I recommend going to the YoHo Hostel instead. I ended up crashing there rather drunk one night. The facilities are just as good, they have a bar, its closer and I think it was cheaper in comparison. Meininger was a good place to stay but everything had a price tag on it, and internet was too expensive.

definitely NOT situated in the city center, as the name would propose. negative points for that. salzburg has more the appeal of a village than of a city, not only in appaeal, but also demographically. the city center and also the main train station (salzburg hauptbahnhof) are far away, especially if you are carrying luggage with you. yet, the public transportation (bus) takes you right to the hostel (O-Bus line 2 - sterneckstraße) had a single room with a double bed and a couch, flat screen TV over the bed, free WIFI, modern (everything works with card system), room clean and tidy, very nice bathroom, big lounging and party area on the ground floor, parking possible. staff is ok, shopping facilities nearby (just over the street). I would say an ideal place for young folks, who want to have good time, but for a small town like salzburg it is off the beaten track.

Very clean and bright. Bedroom had a large window and new in-room bathroom. Self-catering kitchen is small but there are loads of tables and seating. One washer and dryer in cramped kitchen. Whole place is spacious and there's a lift. Highly reommend!

The room was a bit small, and the kitchen needed a few things, but the staff working there was fantastic and beyond helpful, also the last night I was there, a group of travellers had asked if they could watch a movie on lobby tv screen, the staff was more then happy to let them, so I got to watch The Sound of Music, in Austria. That was pretty awesome.
