My first stay in a hostel, and I can't find enough superlatives for this one! It was absolutely beautiful! Clean and quiet (I was only there during the day, and there's a beer garden with entertainment in the evening so probably not quiet then). Then staff went out of their way to be helpful. I had no idea a hostel could be so wonderful!

Très bel endroit, à côté des murailles. Chambres propres et petit déjeuner en buffet très correct. En revanche, nous avons été désagréablement surpris par l'attitude d'un serveur du restaurant où nous avons dîné le premier soir : alors qu'un menu est proposé aux clients de l'auberge, il a apporté une carte où ne figurait aucun menu. Nous l'avons demandé et le serveur n'a plus du tout été aimable. Il a même apporté le plat de charcuterie sans la salade composée qui était censé l'accompagner.
Le personnel de l'auberge est quant à lui très aimable.

Very comfortable and clean. Women's dorm was a great way to save money for this pilgrim to Rome who wanted to stay 2 nights for a stop over on my way.

Excellent qualite prix, les personnes recherchant le luxe passez votre chemin,...si vs voulez un endroit sympat avec un bel accueil, un cadre historique intra muros à Lucca allez y...attention, chambre donnant sur rue..bruyant..prenez des bouchons

L'ostello e' accoglientissimo! E' molto bello dentro, una grande struttura con molto spazio per gli ospiti. Le persone che se ne occupano sono molto gentili e affidabili. Il ristorante e il Beer garden sono due must-do. Hanno reso il nostro viaggio a Lucca indimenticabile!
I bagni comuni possono essere migliorati.

Rien à redire sur cette véritable auberge de jeunesse! Accueil chaleureux et serviable et cadre superbe! Situé en plein centre donc idéal pour profiter de la ville le soir! Un seul point négatif, la salle de bain allouée au dortoir laissait à désirer niveau confort. Mais auberge que je conseille fortement!

Il mio disappunto è stato aver prenotato una camerata di un ostello per la GIOVENTU e trovato a dormire nel letto adiacente al mio un VECCHIO SETTANTENNE! Volevo chiedere un cambio camera ma.. anche nelle altre camere alloggiavano ANZIANI! Bah?!
Bello e grande l'edificio, lenzuola e copriletti stirati alla perfezione ma il bagno ha gli accessori eccessivamente vecchi e logori: tavoletta wc rotta e ingiallita, portasaponi e ganci arrugginiti.. troppo caro per mancare in queste accorgimenti.

perfect location, very central, great garden space to enjoy a glass of wine and watch sunset, Starlings settling to roost and walkers, cyclist passing by the walls of Lucca. A Group of very friendly staff that helped me organise some good trips around Lucca.

Ho trascorso una notte in questo antico Monastero convertito in Ostello durante la 1a sett. d Agosto 2015 e mi sono trovato molto bene. Posizione eccellente, adiacente alle mura storica di Lucca. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Unica nota negativa: la mancanza di un condizionatore in camera o di un ventilatore x alleviare il caldo opprimente durante la notte.

70 euros for a double room in the centro storico, with breakfast and parking included,
I guess competitors are not so glad to fight with this address at Lucca. If we would like to let a comment anyway, the furnitures and the bathrooms need a little refresment. But come on, who could blame seriously for it considering the price, location, qualilty of the breakfast, garden, building, and even the level of service is great. The Check in/out was well managed, fast and efficient, several foreign language spoken. I warmly recommend and this reconciliates me with the concept of Youth Hostel, usually not adapted to the families and mature people, which is not the case there. Tutto Bene, Bravo!
