A very nice hostel in a very super area in Havana.

Nice and friendly people and good rooms. And a wonderful breakfast which is every morning prepared by Maria. Daniel is a very nice man and helpful. Good people!!!!!

Wonderful location and it is a lovely flat. Unfortunately we had a problem with no hot water in the evening and no water at all the next morning, though this was sorted out eventually. My friend found 2 cockroaches in his room. Daniel, the manager was very helpful. Breakfast was good although along with the cook, we were joined randomly by another woman (not sure who she was), plus a guy came in from somewhere and started using the phone, eating our toast and drinking our coffee. It was all a bit much.

Great location next to Plaza Vieja with ultimate balcony views! Marias breakfast is great and David very helpful. Clean and comfort.

The accommodation was perfect for our group.Location could not be better and the staff so friendly. Best place to stay in Havana Vieja!

Fairly small and window-less rooms without anything extra – "superior" rooms only indicate they have provate bathrooms. Over-priced at 50 € per hight excl breakfast.

the shower water was not warm enough and the water presure was too low. Otherwise excellent accommodation in all other respects!

Everything was perfect, we had a great time in Habana. Hostal Plaza Vieja really deserves best rating.

Very good location on the corner of the plaza. Nice room and communal space.

Only good thing is location. Other than that it was terrible. It wasn't clean. Toilet blocked up. No hot water for shower. I asked for a taxi to airport and it never showed up. The manager didn't even care. Do not stay here

when i say this is the best spot ever in plaza vieja, IT IS!!! the apartment was clean and equipped just like the pics. the best thing about this apartment was the location. this area is lively. woke up to maria's breakfast and music every morning. walking distance to bars, restaurants, shopping, internet hot spots, taxi stands. Beds need more fluff in the mattress but towels and sheet were clean. Hot showers worked better downstairs. maria was always available for anything you needed in the apartment and any changes needed for breakfast. Daniel gave us a warm welcome and his number just in case we needed anything. phone was available in house. they arranged airport pick-up. we stayed on the balcony listening to music and people watched. we really felt like it was our place. the neighbors were so friendly and helpful too.

We stayed here on our first and last night in Cuba and were welcomed warmly on both occasions, with pick-up from the airport arranged for us. The location is brilliant and close to all sites, everyone was very helpful and friendly, hence why we decided to stay there again when returning to Havana. Highly recommend it. Thank you!

Great place to stay right on Plaza Vieja. Room was comfortable with an air conditioner a bonus in Havana! Loved the breakfast from Maria each morning in the kitchen space. The balcony is an awesome place to sit and people watch. Daniel was an entertaining and helpful host, This is the perfect place to stay and explore Havana get your walking shoes on there is so much to see.

Great position in Habana Vieja: the hostal is close to the main attractions of the area (Plaza de Armas, Bahia de l'Habana, Catedral). The room was clean and confortable; the staff was kind and very sensitive to the needs of the guests (we arrive very late in the night and the owner waited for us promptly). Breackfast (5CUC) is great with senora Maria that every morning cook delicious foods and fresh fruits. The hostal is located in an historical palace at the angle of Plaza Vieja, in a quiet place but equiped with restaurants and pub: the cuban music is always present down in the plaza (but not late in the night). Only the price is quite expensive but overall the place is to recommend.

Fantastic location above a craft brewery (bit noisy but ALL Havana is noisy....). Wonderful hosts and excellent breakfast. Only downside was shower that needs fixing (not a drama).

Good place right on Plaza Vieja. The apartment has a balcony right above restaurant Factoria. Rooms we're air conditioned and comfortable, not much noise from outside. Tasty breakfast for 5 CUC and friendly staff. Value for money. Nearest wireless internet hotspot is restaurant Meson de la Flota (5 minutes), although i would not recommend that place. A good alternative place for wireless internet is Hotel Florida or elsewhere on Obispo (outside).

Electricity constantly went out so no A/C one night, though we were given a discount to reflect that. Great location and the manager of the flat is a star. Would say the shower is pretty bad, very weak and cold.

Clean, affordable, amazing location, and everyone we interacted with during the stay was extremely helpful and nice. I would love to stay again when I come back to Havana!

The best place to stay in all of Havana! Daniel, Maria and Yordi were absolutely awesome people, they really went out of their way to make our stay with 2 small children perfect!

Great place and verz friendly people! This was our first stay in cuba and later on in other cities we always missed Maria and her delicious breakfast!!

Plaza Vieja is a great square the bar right in front of the main door of the apartment is cheap and they have also good food. The music is very loud until around 1 pm so if you want to sleep earlz then maaybe this is not the best place for you, but i did not mind at all it was a great cuban feeling.

Perfect location, to sleep with Salsa melody, safe and clean... there are 3 room in this hostel. One of the rooms is include private bathroom; other two rooms are in the upper floor and share same bathroom. This is not a classical casa particular but menager Victor very helpfull and friendly. For breakfast a staff women comes at he morning and she is very kind. We recommend this place.

Excellent stay!

Hostal Plaza Vieja is by far the best casa in Havana and in the best location. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were helpful and kind. We will definitely recommend (and actually already have) this Hostal to anyone looking to stay in Havana!

This rental is ideally located on Plaza Vieja, a very nice and animated place. rooms are comfortable. We were welcomed very nicely by Daniel. He was very kind, Maria was very nice too and breakfast was very good.

Perfect casa in the heart of the old town.

We stayed here for one night and it was excellent. The location is perfect. Right above Plaza Vieja and easy walking distance to lots of great sights and restaurants. The manager was great. He met us on arrival and explained a couple of things about Havana to us. Rooms were comfortable and tidy. Would definitely stay here again!

Hostal plaza veija is a great place to stay if you like your own privacy..it is very relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch all the action on the plaza. There is great eataries very close. Everything is within waling distance. It is one of the nicest casa's we have stayed through out Cuba.

Staff very friendly and very central. Because of its location it is noisy at night with bars and restaurants nearby, so bring ear pugs if you have problems sleeping. But that said, the location is also its strong point right in the heart of old Havana.

Great location in old Havana town . Staff very friendly and willing to help . Daniel will meet you and give you keys etc He can arrange taxi transfer back to airport - just ask on arriving there. Maria will cook fresh omelette and fruit and coffee for breakfast (5 cuc ) each morning and efficient in cleaning your room .Area and room is safe for solo travellers too . Great to be in the heart of the city and photos are true likeness. Some mouse from bar below but it's music and its Havana , so enjoy !!

This is a one of a kind experience and Daniel, the manager deserves a rating about 100! He is extremely helpful and kind in making your stay an amazing experience. From restaurant recommendations to ordering us a taxi for 5 a.m., Daniel gladly supports his guests and when thanked replies, "It's my job". The location, ambiance and value of this accommodation can simply not be beat!

I would not recommend this Casa if you like to sleep comfortably. The worst part of this place was the mattress. It was so bad that the springs were broken and poking through at you all over the bed. It was near impossible for my boyfriend and I to sleep. I'm sure it's expensive and hard to find good mattresses there, but if this problem was fixed it would be much more desirable. Also, the bed spread was extremely stained and dirty. Quite off-putting.

Daniel (?), the owner was lovely and a delight to speak to out on the balcony listening to the sounds of the square below. It is a very busy, but beautiful, location. The downside to this is that it is quite noisy. Music stops around 12 but gets noisy very early from others in the building and outside.

The shower pressure was terrible, but the bathrooms were modern and clean.

It's too bad about the bed... it's a great location, and Daniel was wonderful.

The best place / location to stay in old Havana.

It was the best place in terms of location and price we stayed in on our trip to Cuba.

Had a wonderfull stay at hostal Piaza Vieja! Also the staff was very helpfull and friendly.

This plaza is very nice, very clean.

And one of the better location in Havana.

Perfect location with superb staff to help you with anything you might need.

A beautiful spot with balconies overlooking the Plaza Vieja. Helpful host, great breakfasts. Terrific modern, clean design with impressive original art on the walls. A downside was one of the 3 beds that had springs coming through...not comfortable! Music downstairs each night goes on (loudly) until late, so not great if you want to sleep before midnight.

This Casa was in a perfect location and had all that we needed. Only let down was no breakfast included.

The only negative comment I can give is that the bed I had needs replacing. It is simply the worst bed I've had in the 8 years I've been going to Cuba. Other than that I enjoyed staying there.
