This isn't a great hostel but it's cheap and better then sleeping outside.

Great value for money! Basic but bed was very comfy :)

Staff could be more gentle.

Absolutely horrific. Turned up to be told we didn't have beds even though we had put a deposit down. Disgraceful

This hostel was terrible. There is a strange smell throughout the whole building, there is NO cutlery in the kitchens, and you have to pay 2 pounds per day to use the WIFI. I was woken up one morning and told I needed to switch to a different room because a large group was going to be occupying the room I was staying in. I could only check back in at 2 pm.. very inconvenient. Also, the shower was broken in the room I was moved to. Find a better hostel! This one is horrible.

Firstly when we came in, we thought: "omg this is not so bad", but after we came in our room we realized how awful it is. Room really smells bad, if you want to sleep normally, you have to keep your window open all the time. Location is good cause underground station is a minut walking from there. Price is really really low, but with reason. So, recommend you to stay there only if you are really but REALLY broke.

The most disgusting hostel I've ever been in my life. I booked for three night, but I just left the hostel after the first one. I don't recommend it both for people on holiday and looking for a job.

Very very dirty, the beds have the spring no have no cover, the shower inside the rooms are with mould in the walls, where the water goes.

Good place for who want to save money, however it's a kind of uncomfortable place. Anyway, is good for it price.

It was the worst place that I have ever been to in my whole life. The staff at the front could not understand me and I am British.

It was very noisy the beds were uncomfortable. The shower well what a joke. It was the biggest dive ever and I wished I stayed at the place I first booked to stay in.

The shower is in the room. Next to the bed. Not an ensuite. Just a shower cubicle. NEXT TO THE BED!! So you awkwardly get your naked on inside the cubicle, throw your clothes back over to keep them out of the pool of pubic hair floating due to the blocked drain, shower, bathe your feet in pubic hair, yummy!!, then open up the shower door to grab your clothes exposing your nakedness to your 11 roommates, all of who are clearly homeless people living in this hostel, not backpackers. This is evident because every morning they shower (next to your bed then expose their nakedness to you) and then put on their Sainsburys uniforms and go to work. Also it stinks like dead butt hole babies.

cheap hostel, a bit out of hand, but still really close to the Tube station. A little bit noisy at night due to the parties (?) that go on at the ground floor. Really poor breakfast, but pretty clean overall.

Rough around the edges. That's the sentence that would better describe the experience.

I had to pay 1,50 GBP for breakfast, and online was supposed to be included.

It's the perfect place for those who are looking for a live atmosphere with lots of young people. There's everything a young person might be interested in. I recommend. It's far from downtown but it's in front of the subway station, so since in london it's cheaper to buy day ticket, there will be no problem about the distance. If you're looking for fun, hostel 639 is the place for you.

It smells like rotten animals or dead people. toilet water smell is also always present. Staff is as friendly as the orks in front of isensgard.

The hostel is nice and clean - good to take a rest for few nights. All was very good except one thing - BEWARE ! (due to the hostel 639`s rules, which are not descibed on their website) - If you are the customer of the hostel allready, you can not extand your staying online and you have to pay on desk for rest of stay (I had to pay difference between price of online`s reservation and on the desk ) :(

Quite pleasent stay, for those who just want a place to stay

-Dirty shower INSIDE the room, no intimacy at all.

-NO FREE WATER: water from the tap is not "drinkable", so you'd have to pay for a bottle at the cafeteria!!

A lot of staff doing nothing, instead of helping people who have just arrived, only to situated or something. All nights a disco, but is more for staff than for clients. Recomended if you reserve the room complete, not for a bed!

It's very cheap and there's a kitchen available. The wifi is not free and it's in zone 2, so not central, but for the price it's very good!

The hostel is shown on the pictures in a better condition than it is in reality. Windows are old and not filtering street noise. It is not a pleasant place to stay.

i'm still in the hostel......it is really nice.....and all the girls who work here are really nice and beauty as well........

it has bad beds and the staff was ingnorant with us on Christmas, They did a dinner and don´t call us and the person in charge of the security made a joke with me because I asked if the dinner was for all. The bathrooms were terrible!

the advantages were the position and groceries shops closest the hostel.

Bad smell, the shower inside the room so you couldn't shower in the morning because you made noise for those who were sleeping, really uncomfortable to shower and have to dress up in the small room with everyone, the hostel was just in front of a cementery. Old furniture and in general dirty.

Its a nice hostel, it is near from a Tube Station, not expensive, little Beds, shower in the Room but for girls will be a little uncomfortable! If your trip will be just a par of days its OK!

There are rats in the hostel and the mattresses are in extremely bad conditions, it's better sleep in the floor. The sheets are dirty and the toilets too. You have the shower into the room, don't matter if you don't know the other roomates.

If you like bed bugs, springs poking into you all night, traffic noise and unorganized staff, this is the place to be. You'll love the top bunks, which have no ladders, so those of you with bad backs or low flexibility can't get into them. You'll love having to change rooms because staff booked in a group too large to fit two (who had already been there 2 nights). The shower is literally in the same room as 8 beds, with nowhere to change. There are no lockers, and all you need to do to get a bag from behind the counter is give a room number and description of the bag. Very secure... Much more, but I'm sure you'll have the pleasure of finding out for yourself. Serioulsy though, spend the extra £5 and stay somewhere nice. Oh, and there are rats!

We'd never stay there again. They did't have free beds for us even we had reservation. It was unpleasant place.

Recommend this hostel for everyone without high aspirations. station is located opposite the hostel, so getting to Oxford street takes just 15 minutes. Great attitude from others. Of course it isn't 5 star hotel, but for this people without high aspirations it is very good

This is probably one of the most sketch hostel I've even been in. Expect to see lots of people smoking right outside of the building, and the shower is very tiny with no place to change.

Very essential, the first look is not very good but you get used. Facilities are to improve, matts need a renewing, kitchen can not be considered so... if you can afford more, there will be something better, if not...it could be O.K.

It isn't good with cleanliness, sometimes they don't change bedclothes, in the kitchen there's nothing, you should take kettle or pot. The inconvenience is that the shower is in the room, there isn't any wall or hunger to leave your clothes, so if you want to take a shower you must hard combine how to remove clothing when 6 persons are in the room.

It was an ok place, but when I came back to London, I won't be staying here
