Owner/reception very nice,helpful & friendly.

Room itself was clean but bathroom was quite used. It looks better on pictures.

wifi was there but it wasnt working properly as so the fridge.

Good that room was cleaned every day, we also had towels changed.

Great location, but not so quiet.

If you accept those shortcomings I can recommend :)

Place was great and clean, couldn't expect something better than that.. Prize wise also great. I would recommend it to everyone. Enjoy.

We had a great time in casa di penelope rooms werecompletely refurbished as described and really clean.The room is cleaned by the staff every single day. Its more like a hotel than a hostel.

During my 1-week stay, I found staff very helpful, providing clean room & linens; bed is soft & comfortable that can help to relieve tiredness during trip; room with good lightings & large windows; easy to find, just near the train station hub

all of this is good room is very big,clean near train station and conveneien except about wifi internet is serve about 1st floor (main room) but he have any room in this Bld. Anyway i think i really reccomment for every traveller

Nice place, very near from the train station (Roma Termini) and Metro. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. No breakfast.

A little hard to find it (the "reception" is on 1st floor). Room was nice and clean also the bathroom. Each day was made a bed and empty trash. Staff was kind. Hotel is about 3 minutes by walk form Subway (Termini Line A/B), Railway station and bus stop for journey to airport. (Fiumicino,Ciampino) Me and my girlfriend were really satisfied We didn't have a breakfast so I can't rate this. I recommend this hotel

The window ceiling wasn't working properly and one bed sheet for a double bed was a bit weird but despite that we ha d a really good time. It was small, but cosy and at a good place, it was exactly what we were looking forward to.

A Casa di Penelope is nothing more and nothing less than what it it advertised to be: a place to spend the night while visiting Rome. The location is great - 5 minutes from the Rome central station, the room is clean (although I expected it to be bigger) and the staff is friendly (Thanks, Babu!). I expected it to be more cozy - there were no carpets or curtains, but all in all, it was allright.

the staff was not friendly and helpful plus they treated badly.. Even though it is a bed and breakfast hostel, be aware of they may not serve breakfast.

This hostel/apartment has an excellent location, which is just minutes walk away from Termini train station. It is surrounded with restaurants and only 10 minutes away from the supermarket. The staff, Babu, is extremely helpful and friendly. Never says no when you requested something and is ready to answer you questions anytime. My trip with my family was pleasant thanks to the hospitality of this place. Will definitely go again and recommend this place to other place.

Its is very close to the center of Rome and its pretty easy to get there by bus or tram.

So a good place to be for little money.

But its strange that the owner wants you to pay the deposit of 10% again. You also need to know that you have to pay 2€/person per day.

I was in Casa di Penelope 4 days in July with my two friends.

Very, very nice place. White, comfortable, clean room with bathroom. It was good place for rest after busy day in hot, noisy, crowdy Rome. Super! Good idea with modern equipment in so old city.

This is a quality accommodation mainly for those who are looking for a comfortable and clean room, without the hassle of a busy hostel. The only minus is the lack of coffee-making opportunity in the morning.

Very comfortable, the bathroom had some troubles but the staff solved it very well.

It is a place with a very hight potencial but lacks some essencial items like good decoration, better bath room conditions,rceiving payments with cards, 1 of the beds were not done. Buy the price we payed could have been better!

Excellent place to stay in Rome, good location and on 2 minutes walking distance from the main metro/train/bus station. Friendly manager and staff, fine service (e.g. checking in and out, transportation and information) and most importantly clean and fresh rooms.

Recommendation in this price range, we would definitely book here again.

Helpful and friendly staff named Babu... He gave useful suggestions to find place for shopping ... comfortable and clean room ... this B&B is closed to Train, Metro, bus station.. very convenient. If I visit Rome again, it is my choice

The hotel owners were irresponsible (did no give us change for what we paid, and also charged us with something called city tax). Bed and Breakfast is a lie, there was no breakfast.

The owner is awfull, extremely rude. Yelled at us, tried to intimidate us. Actually said that he couldnt care less if we liked his hotel or not, if we would ever come back or not, and that he would gladly call the police on me because I was complaining about the price! Extra charges were demanded upon our arrival. It was awfull! And he criticized and blamed HostelsClub for our disagreement on the price. Said that it's not his fault that the site announces a price that is not the real one, that I had to pay when I arrived. Also, he promised something that he didnt deliver later. No heating in the rooms, no hot water in the showers, room for 3 is actually a room for 2 plus a mattress on the floor.

it was a nice,modern place to stay!close to termini metro station.easy to find,great atmoshere! cheap enough in contrast with other hostels in rome!

all in all the experience was good, the problem is that the hostel actually doesnt have a real loby, but a small area at the front, where also the rooms are located, so while in your room, you can hear everything going on in the lobby, for example the receptionist talking to his friends on skype! and you can also hear noise from the street. but it's clean and the staff are okay and for the money it's a good choice, also not far from the TERMINI (main) station which is good. we also had trouble paying with a credit card but once we insisted, it worked out! summary: clean, nice, good location, too much noise!

The best thing about this flat was that it was close (3 min) to the main train station of Rome (Termini) which made our travels around Rome really easy during the day and the night. Babu, the Owner of the flat was really nice and help us with everything (really everything)

I think this hostel is nice and also it's so close to Roma Termini.Only problem was our sink.We had some problem with sink while staying there.Staff is helpfull and rooms are very hot.

A fantastic place to stay. Stayed twice, loved the rooms, the staff, and the location could not be more convenient.

Hostel was excelent in almost everything, the staff was very kind but I was difficult to find someone in the lobby, there's only one person attending at the lobby.

They must include breakfast. Very near the train station

the hostel was really nice. best part was that we didin't run out of hot water. the location was excellent also. 2min walking from Termini. 20min walking to Colosseo. staff was really nice. explained everything on the map and more. recommended!!

it was inside of an apartment building, closed to termini station. had breakfast facility outside of the hotel, but quite tasty. big bathroom and strong shower. staff was friendly. i would recommend this hotel.

Excellent accommodation. Clean, close to Termini Station, has AC, flat TV, nice bed. I can just recommend it.

Room is very clean and spacious. Convenient location near Termini.

Nice room in a nice building, very close to Termini Station so very convenient.

It was fun stayin in here, rooms are named as parts of the body, me, I stayed at bocca! I just wish there were shampoo and body gelfor shower in the room. (Though I managed to get one from the receptionist, a man shampoo but it helped anyways)

Ahh Rome...I imagine that nothing could be worse than to go to Rome and end up in a horrible hostel. Thankfully this was not the case with Casa Di Penelope.

The rooms were very clean and well stocked. They provide you with service each day so when you arrive back to your room after a long day of exploring everything is made up, clean, and ready for you to knock your shoes off and relax.

The location of Penelope is quite convenient. It is near the train and metro station, as well as, one of the main bus stops where you can catch every train that you need to traverse the maze of streets that make up Rome.

The best thing about this place was the customer service, particulary that of Babu, who appears to be the administrator/receptionist of the Penelope. Babu was awesome to say the least. He, and he alone, made Rome the best experience we had in Italy. He provided us with assistance for every we needed, bus routes, train routes, a day trip to the beach, great places to eat, laundry service, internet service, the WHOLE NINE YARDS!!! We likely would have had a great time in Rome without Babu, but Babu made the experience near perfect.

Stay here folks, it's convenient, it's clean, and if you're lucky, Babu will still be there.

DEFINITELY A RECOMMENDATION! CLEAN ROOMS!
