BnB Bel Ami

This was the best and most comfortable place we stayed on our month long tour of Europe. It is in a great location and the ladies who run it were great! I would definitely recommend B&B Bel Ami

Very decent place to stay for a few days while visiting Rome. Close to metro station and to colosseum.

15 min walk to Colloseum. Subway right around the corner. Our room was a bit small but really cheap :)

Best ever!

Surprisingly great place. At first we were thinking about staying near the Termini station, but I'm so glad we didn't - it's a really bad neighborhood. The location of Bel Ami is quite the opposite of that - beautiful yet very well approachable via metro.

When we entered the stairway of Bel Ami, we thought we got the wrong address, it was really nice, way beyond the usual youth hostel feeling. The room was also nice especially compared to the price.

The staff is very friendly. The landlady was always helpful and friendly, the cleaning lady was always discrete, never bothered us when we were in our room, yet the room was always cleaned up every day. The shared bathroom was also very clean and OK.

The night was sometimes noisy because of a festival nearby but it wasn't much of a problem.

The overall price/value is excellent.

I was very satisfied with B&B Bel Ami.The important for me and my friend was cleanness, security and convinient distance from city centre. The shared bathroom was always so clean, I never noticed that somebody was there before me. Room was kept clean as well. Land lady is lovely woman, very helpfull, with some clever advices. Plase B&B is situated about 15 mins walking distance from Coloseo. Bit of noise was coming from building place - they are extending or rebuilding metro line C near the B&B. This will hopefully be sorted soon. I can highly recommend B&B Bel Ami. Will definetely choose this place again next time.

What can I say - great place! Friendly, safe, clean, quiet. I highly recommend this hostel, and if I ever come back to Rome I will stay in Bel Ami again!

i highly recommend bel ami for your staying in rome. The woman who owned the b&b was really welcoming and frienly and she gave as useful advice . The building was lovely and very clean as well as in a great position, just 5 minutes on foot from the church of san giovanni and 15 from the colosseum.There is also a metro stop in san giovanni, which is really convinient.The breakfast was nice.

Breakfast is packaged toast and a packaged pastry that they serve you sometime around 8:30. One bathroom for 4 bedrooms. Walk is about 20 min to Colloseum but it's right on a metro stop. Little things like hand towels, bath mats and mirrors in the rooms are missing. Bring your own towel.

A very recommended place to stay in Rome: very friendly atmosphere inside, hostel is clean, calm and comfortable, good prices as for the city of Rome, nice location (even if it is not in the middle of downtown, it is just 100 m from the underground that goes to the city centre), it is also 5 minutes on foot to S. Giovanni di Laterano basilica which can be seen from the hostel's windows too; the hostel's photos (see Bel Amo web page) show entirely true image too. The only potential disadvantage I could find is a queue to bathroom when the hostel is fully crowded (anyway, during my stay the hostel was not booked in 100%, so this POTENTIAL issue hopefully did not occur).

We stayed in private room with bathroom ensuited - everything was very clean and nice. Gorgeous view from the small balcony.metro station was near.Best place if you are looking for calm stay.

Room No 01 balcony view to a garden-terrace, and Duomo of San Giovanni di Latterano. Calm, quick access to Metro, street market next, phone + Internet shop at 300 m. Good value for money.

Tres bien situé. le colisée est a 10 minutes a pied. L'immeuble est tres sécuritaire. Cest tres tranquille! A conseiller!

Best place to stay during my trip in Italy. Seriuos! Basic accomodation with all needed things, very clean, nice breakfest, great and extreemly helpfull owner Gabriela. All, what simple traveler needs from hostel. Me and my Girlfriend really liked stay there and I can recomend this stay to everybody.

Gabriella was a very kind hostess, and kept the place very clean. The room was nice, and had a beautiful view. The Colosseum is a relatively short walk away; for most other sites the metro is preferable. The hostel is close to a metro station, although keep in mind that it closes down quite early at night.

Extremely excellent attitude towards tourists. Very clean and friendly. There are close to many attractions - Colosseum, Forum, etc..

The outside of the building is a little strange at first because there is some graffiti on the walls but the inside is very nice and very clean. Gabriela was very nice and even though check out is early in the morning she lets you leave your stuff with her and she gives you a separate key so that you are able to walk in and out of the building whenever you want. B&B is about 15 to 20 minutes walking distance from the Colosseum but if you do not want to walk the entrance to the metro is very close to the hostel. All in all I had a good experience and I would definitely stay there again.

Very good location near to the underground station, pleasant and friendly english speaking staff. We had experienced a nice stay. I recommend it to everyone who looks for quiet accomodation at favourable prices in Rome.

B&B Bel Ami is definitely the first place we would pick if we wanted to go back to Rome.

High value for accordingly low price. With this place everyone can afford to Rome even for 6 days. I strongly recommend staying here.

I went there only for 1 night but the position was really convenient: just next to the metro station and not far from colosseo.

We stayed for a week and we really enjoyed this hostel, it's in a great location, clean, very nice breakfast served in the room, wifi access in the room, the staff are very kind and communicative. we recommend it!

B&B Bel Ami has got a great location: it is near the undeground station and beautiful church of Santa Giovanni in Loterano. Our room was always cleaned; small breakfast was served on time every single morning; our hostess was always very kind to us.

We have stayed here more than a week and we are pleased to recommend this B&B to everybody!

this is the best hostel in rome, because it is very clean, has perfect position and view, smiley&helpfull staff.. Every room has tv and breakfast is very delicious. Our holiday was very good with B&B BEL AMI

Bel Ami is a very good B&B. we've had a very nice time. Gabriella took good care of us. if you want to visit as much as possible in rome, i would realy recomment Bel ami!

Very clean & pleasant place to stay,close to Termini, Colosseum & Capitol, etc. Rooms are cosy & comfortable,some with balcony. The land-lady is very friendly and easy going :))) Im satisfied and we will be back definitely!!.

Staff very helpful, very small number of rooms and constant cleaning of the toilet. Close to metro, but have to return home before midnight to catch it. Area around the B&B is not interesting. Breakfast was served in room, it was fixed and size could be bigger. Room was very clean. There was some car noise at night even with windows closed, but not really annoying for me.

The place of this hostel it's a very central of the Rome,near of the Colosseum and 200 mt of the underground.Rooms it was cleaning and it was great very nice and italians hostels is the best.The staff was friendly and let us keep our bags locked up even after we had check out.Wi-fi is free.I'm recomanded to all my friends to make the holiday in rome in this place.Thank you so much

Very good B&B. Close to the coliseum, then Coliseum to Fontana di Trevi then Plaza Venezia. Very good location and very good atmosphere.

The personnel is very welcoming. Very good choice.

The staff was very kind. The room was big and the bed was confortable, though it wasn't a double bed. It had a great location, near the metro and San Giovanni. The breakfast could be better, and in the shower it was impossible to control the temperature.

Very nice and clean. Really good location. Less than 5 minutes to Termini station by metro, and about 12 minutes away from Vatican City.
