Description

The monumental building of Petrovaradin Fortress is situated on the banks of the river Danube in Novi Sad, Serbia. The construction of it, began on October 18th, 1692. Its founder was The Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I, who laid on the safe conduct stone the letter with which he approved the construction. This building, bears the name “Leopold’s Bastion”. The place where the emperor stored the letter has never been found. The fortification complex was systematically constructed until year 1780.

The hotel was opened in the building known as Long Barracs, in 1968 known as “Varadin”. The Hotel charmed with its style. Then it was completely renovated in 2007, with the same style and finesse for the second time it opened its doors for guests. The hotel, rated by the Ministry, earned the Highest Category 5 *.

There are 59 rooms, suites and residences. Rooms are in the renaissance and in modern style, in accordance with its decoration. Apartments and residences bear the names of historical figures such as Emperor Leopold I, Prince Joseph I, Maria Theresa, Charles VI, Commander Eugene of Savoy, etc. These people, all played significant part in the history of the fortress.

We organize all types of seminars, lectures, presentations, as well as weddings, company anniversary celebrations, New Year's Eve, a celebration of love – Valentine's Day, '8 March' , and all other events that guests might want to arrange in our hotel.

At your disposal are Board hall, capacity 20 seats (conference table), Conference hall, capacity 45 seats and Business Club, capacity 25 seats.
For moments of rest we suggest Havana bar, where you can relax to the sounds of classical music and the aroma of Cuban cigars.

There are also three 'a la carte' restaurants, '8 Tamburaša' specializing in voivodinian cuisine, 'Terrace' an Italian restaurant and 'Kastel' a fish restaurant‚ all located on the sunny terrace of Petrovaradin Fortress.

The hotel has a parking lot for 50 vehicles, with 24h video surveillance.
