The room was stinky and I had serious doubts that anybody had cleaned it before I came in. The carpet was disgusting. Only worth if you can not pay something better.

My daughter and I liked this old funky place in Denver. The staff was gracious with exception of the Manager. We were there 3 nites before someone told us about the community room with a fridge. Would have been nice to know. Affordable and easy walk in to center of town.

Staff was great and really helpful. Room was tidy but could use some heavier cleaning with the walls and such. Very affordable and close to everything. I certainly recommend it!

No common room, more like a hotel than hostel. No air condition, so its very hot in summer. Position and staff are great but the rest no.

Wonderful experience! Great location and walkability to local spots; all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the bedroom and bathroom for the 4-bed dorm room were some of the cutest I've seen in a hostel. Thanks for a great visit!!!

This is a good place to crash, but not the place you really wanna hang out to connect with other people. The location is PRIME for many events and reasons, but it is in the city and all that goes with that. I guess I understand where the staffitude comes from.

Pay the extra money and stay at a real hotel! I stayed in room 322 and had the following issues: when I checked in the window was stuck open which allowed the 26 degree wind to blow in. Lucky for me Frank was working that night and banged on the window to shut it closed. The front door lock was very loose and I had to put a chair in front of the door to ease my mind enough to sleep. I never knew that bed sheets came in half ply until staying here. The toilet paper is half ply as well, yet rough as sandpaper. There was no place to put the soap in the shower (be sure you bring your own soap because you won't get any here) and the black mats in the shower were filthy and matted with other people's hair. The bathroom door handle was not screwed in and fell apart. And the cheap headboard fell off the wall too. My room was non smoking, but the room to the left was not so every night my room was filled with heavy cigarette smoke.
I could go on, but I think you get the point. This place is not a hotel nor a hostel, it is an over glorified homeless shelter. Why else would they
need to etch the name of the hotel on the TV (!) and charge you a $5 deposit to use a rainbow colored beach towel?!?

I stayed in a single room with private bathroom. The price is reasonably good and they offered me a student discount of 10% for first night.Its a awesome place under this budget category. I could like to stay here again, if get another chance to visit Denever.

A cheap stay in a central location with excellant attentive staff. On the downside old lodgings and my room had an old, damp, musky smell. I had to purchash some air freshner but this had little impact. I may have just been unlucky with my room allocation

Covered my basic necessities.. but not a place I would take my mother or children. Great location and a nice price. Good for young travelers who don't need much, just a place to stay and bathroom. Lockers in room were nice.

I didnt get to stay because these idiots booked a female dorm for me and 2 guy friends. It asks for gender on the website, I made sure they knew we all were males, and made the reservation. I was then called and told I dont have room and asked if I would like a refund, to which I asked why I wouldnt. I was never refunded.

I did not receive a very warm welcome. Nothing was explained to me and I had to find my way myself. There weren't many showers and toilets in the corridor. I could not open the window. All in all it wasn't a very pleasant stay. Also the neighbourhood was not very safe.

Bathrooms were a little grimy, but nothing I couldn't get over. Staff was friendly and helpful, though some of the other guests were sketchy. Location was great and price was is unbeatable. It is a hostel, so as long as you know what you're getting into, and you're not expecting a hotel, I would recommend it.

Very enjoyable stay! Much better than anticipated based on past reviews :)
The beds were comfortable, staff was friendly, noise level was low (I also brought along ear plugs), and there was a shower in my room! The hotel/hostel is walking distance to everything downtown and an excellent price.

Don't go to this hostel. The staff are rude, the place is dirty, and the security is terrible. On the first night I was there, I returned to my room to find the door had been left ajar. I asked the staff for an explanation and they say they'd get back to me, then ignored it. When I asked them a second time they said it was my fault and accused me of lying. I was lucky enough to have not left any valuables in my room, but this place is not secure. The room and shower were also pretty dirty, and it was really noisy outside on several nights. For the price, this place is a massive rip-off - best find another hostel in Denver or just get a hotel!

This hostel is in a great location in Denver, close to downtown, museums, and great restaurants & pubs. The staff was friendly. I would NOT stay here if you are expecting more of a hotel-type feel; This feels like a hostel or dorm even when staying in a private room. Our bed was broken & sagging on one side, and the blinds did not completely close (they stopped a good foot short of the window sill, so much for privacy...), but all in all it was comfortable and clean enough. I'd stay here again if I had the need.

Not very pricey and in an excellent location. Kind of weird atmosphere though which probably comes from it being half hostel, half hotel, so it is definitely different. The room I was staying in was huge and really nice.

Good location but very noisy (on busy street and bars/clubs nearby so loud music), not particularly clean, not all rooms non-smoking, not an open or sharing atmosphere. Forfeited my last night and checked in to a hotel.

Served its purpose for the price. However was very disappointed to learn that having paid extra for a private bathroom that there was no shower. Need to post somewhere on website or faqs about this fact! Sheet had holes, need to also have option when booking for nonsmoking room/area of hostel. Also pillows were disgusting, need pillow protector and not just a pillowcase. Gross to see stains on pillow!

I don't have a lot to compare to but this hostel has all the important things. Don't expect the quietest dorms in the world, of course. Windows open and there's a ceiling fan, so ventilation is good.
As far as kitchen stuff, there's a fridge, a microwave, a toaster oven, a coffee machine, plates and utensils. Also a couch, TV, computer, and books in the same room.
Right in the center of downtown, 4-5 blocks away from the 16th Street Mall and its free shuttle - which will also take you to major transit stations.
Very decent for the price!

This hostel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and interested in making your stay enjoyable. If you are in Denver and need a place to sleep for the night (or a few hours) it is a great place for the price.

This hostel/hotel is actually really old, but if you can get past that, everything else seems just fine. You really can't beat the location, the staff is friendly (even if a little laid back), cleanliness is only marred by how old everything is.

After days on the road, this place was like an oasis - large room, super comfortable, great location and ambience, The staff were so nice that one person even walked me to a grocery store when I was looking for a notebook. Highly recommend.

Staff were pretty friendly and helpful, location is also pretty good. Room was bigger than expected and I didn't have to wait for the bathroom or shower at all. Was a little 'tired' in some aspects, but provided good value for money.

Really nice hostel. The staff isvreally helpful and adorable. The rooms are big and confortable. However if u feel hot all the time you gonna feel here too. And the bathtub is kinda small if you want to take a shower. But I really enjoy my stay here.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hostel in 2012 and now 2013.
My wiife and I attended a conference at Convention Centre, that made this a good reason to stay ith proximity. All the staff, at book-in counter, room service were great and helpful when asked for clean linen and towel during our one week that we we stayed.
We would only say that airconditioning is needed particularly in summer months.
